Poll on pacing

Before today's chapter comes out in a few minutes, I wanted to ask your opinion, which will 100% influence how the story goes going forward.
Essentially, I have had some feedback that the story was going too slow, especially the part between Alith's appearance up to the boat trip. Since you are the most involved people, I ask for your honest opinion on the matter.
Hopefully I won't have to ask about such things in the future once I find my bearings, but until then, as a debuting author, I'll have to rely on you all.
Don't hold anything back, if it's bad I need to know it! And thank you in advance for your input!
