Touhou 15 Teaser Trailer Update Final

Big update for my Extra Stage Bosses about the progress for the short teaser, and it may just be the final one. The short teaser is nearly finished. I'm right now editing the video as well as touching up some of the backgrounds. It's finally coming together after all this time. I don't even remember how long I have been working on this, but it sure has felt like a long time coming. I don't want to show you guys anything just yet, you'll just have to wait till the trailer comes out.

I will at least show you some current progress shots of what the final thing can possibly look like. Do mind the overlays and the low quality of the images. These are still being edited.

These are the beginning shots where it starts out at the bottom and the camera pans to the top. My limitations with drawing backgrounds are apparent as I used photographs for all the backgrounds and filtered the heck out of them. I'm now in the process of editing them to remove that "whisp" effect.

Zooming into the moon. Yes, I'm using Google Earth to get these shots. I wouldn't mind animate it myself but as I mentioned, backgrounds are nearly impossible for me to render, let alone animate. So I'll be editing out all the overlays and filtering these images as well.

Rushing through the ocean, ending with Junko's closeup. This is where timing of the frames matter as I'm still trying to figure out the right speed to animate her. I'm also still experimenting with overlays. For all the time I spend trying to get the art style right, it never occurred to me the environmental lighting affecting the frames. As you can see, there's a lot of purple and that's because it's suppose to represent Junko's power, particularly seen through her 7 "tails". I wanted to give that kind of atmosphere and I'm right now trying to balance out how much of that I should be adding. But it seems to be clashing with Junko's rendered frames. I'll be balancing the color and light for her quick appearance.

Though I'm nearly finished, there's still plenty left to do, but no doubt the trailer is nearly done. Once it is, then Final Stage and Extra Stage Bosses will be the first to watch it before it is uploaded to YouTube.
