Thanks for the question! I think it's way more important to enjoy what you draw and build your skill through that (if you enjoy doing some fanart that's great too). In the end, to do this in the long term, you have to be able to maintain motivation as well, so I think it's really important to prioritize that. From what you said, it seems like you would prefer to be doing your own art and exploring, so I would definitely say go ahead and do that!

So I know the best way to get noticed and hired as a new artist is to drawing fanart, but whenever I draw fanart I just don’t feel it. Should I hold my ground and focusing on original content or should I push myself to draw more fanart? Thank you.
