Snow (Full-res + Process steps)
Added 2021-05-16 05:46:35 +0000 UTCA quick dip back into a type of subject matter I haven't touched in a while! It's still fun to draw some non-contemporary costumes and it's a nice pause from the usual bad guys stuff. It's been a while since doing this type of grey outdoor lighting in the snow so I actually took a bit to recall how to balance the values properly; I hope you enjoy the piece and find the process steps interesting!

Thank you, it was a fun attempt to revisit the theme :) Usually its about 10-15 hours per piece, split up into 2 or 3 sittings. I don't really make it a point to go fast or trim down, but it seems over the years naturally things get a bit more streamlined!

You can see all the key steps and I talk about how I go about doing them to advance the drawing.
