Hey Buccaneers!

 

I'm opening this new space to share some information about the game's development and keep you all informed.

First off, I wanted to talk about the doggy style event in version v0.7 for Patreons. If you've seen it with different characters, you might have noticed that Yamato's event includes an animation, unlike the other buccaneers. This was a trial to gather your opinions. I know not everyone has this version, but anyone who has played it can leave their feedback in the comments or via DM. Thank you!
I will gradually improve and add new animations, and with enough support, I hope to get someone to help with these animations! I hope you enjoy them, understanding that this is just a starting point and that I'll strive to make them even better!

On another note, there's a bug affecting some players in the fishing minigame. This has been fixed, and in the next version for each tier, it will be resolved! Many thanks to "Mister Raptor" for kindly answering my questions and helping me solve this issue! Anyone who finds a bug and can provide information has my gratitude and likely that of other players facing the same problem!

Finally, keep in mind that the poll for the next Buccaneer is close to ending. Don't forget to participate in the voting!

Thank you so much, Noah! I'll keep everything you mentioned in mind. I'll look into the camera bouncing or moving effect and, if feasible, I'll likely try it in future updates. Additionally, I'll continue including animations and finding ways to improve them. Thanks for your help! I see AI as a tool that, with time, I can refine even more until its use becomes almost imperceptible. My goal is to not only make this game the number one in AI usage but also to compete with the best games out there.

As far as animations, You're definitely on the right path. Of course frame by frame is better than still images HOWEVER, if you wanted to optimize the 'frame by frame' animation; for example the doggy scene with yamato. You can do a little cheeky strategy which would be to bounce or move the camera itself to give it that fake sense of motion. Example would be the game monster tutor by nuteku. (I Believe to be another AI still frame game?) That would be a good example to up the quality immediately. However, of course once you hire a semi professional or experienced 2D animator. You'll be golden. If it can reach to the animation levels of at least Ferdafs( a way back home), Sirens paradise (house chores) Or even MITY (four elements trainer) Those are all relatively within reasonable animation quality you could hire for. But of course the higher animators that you could shoot for in the end game would be something close to Oppai games (love hotel). Those are all games you can look at to see what style and type of animation you're looking to hire similar of. Once you reach the animation level, your project would already become the number 1 AI one piece patreon game. (none of the rest have animation yet)
