KASSA! FIRST TIME WATCHING **ANDOR** Ep 1 Reaction!

We need more of what Andor is in Star Wars, and in shows in general. This is not just mindless popcorn entertainment. This is real sci-fi for adults. This is Star WARS gone Star TREK - boldly going where Star Wars has not dared go before.... This doesn't feel like "the Star Wars we know", but I could get used to Star Wars feeling like this. ðŸĪ· Breath of the Wild doesn't "feel like a Zelda game" to a lot of people, depending on your definition of one....but it's a hell of a game that changed Open World games forever for a lot of players and developers, mostly for the better. Trying to make each game in the series "feel like Zelda" is ultimately what was holding them back. Sometimes getting away from the things that identify or define you lets you grow.

"Too boring for you"?? You're the same guy who thinks everyone's wrong for hating Episode 8, right? 😏 At this point I'm convinced you are either just baiting people, looking for a good argument, or you are truly just the ultimate Star Wars contrarian for the sake of it. Andor being so different from other Star Wars media is not only not inherently a bad thing - it's to its advantage, especially in an era of Star Wars fatigue. Don't get me wrong - how you claim to feel is exactly how I EXPECTED to respond to this show. My initial reaction to the concept was "What? A show about one of those characters whose name I couldn't even remember from Rogue One? Seriously?" .....and then I watched it, and fell in love. This show gave me so much of something I never even knew I wanted - to see the lives of everyday people living under the rule of the Empire. What life is like down on the streets, not up in starships and skyscrapers among only "the most important people in the galaxy". No Jedi, no Sith, not some famous bloodline. No force, no lightsabers. Just real, actual, relatable, day to day LIFE. At its best, the dialogue is absolutely riveting; literally some of my favorite episodes and scenes are two characters just TALKING. The cinematography is gorgeous, masterful even. The score is incredible and oozes with originality. The parallels to our own world and society, and real world governments and historical events, are chilling in their familiarity. If you can't appreciate all of that....that's not the show's fault, man. And I'm not saying you have to like it. You just can't blame everyone else for actually picking up what it's putting down. At the end of the day, I'm REALLY glad they told this story that "doesn't need to be told", because it's one of my favorite shows EVER. I honestly just feel sorry for anyone who thinks this show is so boring that they never even gave it a full chance, because they are missing out on one of those rare gems of storytelling of a generation.
