It was painful for him to move, clunky, etc. Like we’ve seen Grievous who had way worse injuries become a force of nature off the strength of his prosthetics. It was also really conductive, so Palpatine could always control him with force lightning

Yoda and Windu were the only people Sidious feared he couldn’t beat. Anakin should’ve bodied Obi Wan. When Anakin fell, he reveled in his new power and it made him overconfident. Obi Wan was considered HIM as far as the defensive focused lightsaber form. So Anakin rushing the fight and becoming overconfident and frustrated because he wasn’t killing Obi wan as fast as he thought he should be able to with his new power. Caused him to make a mistake that he wouldn’t have made if he had his new power for a week.
