Seiyuu Danshi voice update:
Just received Hikaru's voice files. So, only Shuu's voice files left. Hikaru, Haato, Toru, Shiba, and Tocchan's voice have all been cut and ready to be coded in.
Still needs to code them in, though, and it's taking longer than expected, mainly because I ended up coding the snippet lines for ALL the events in contrast to only the "important" events that I wanted to do before (so yeah, I need to to get back to those 418,000 lines all over again :x).... I think it sounds much better like this, though. Currently almost done with coding Tocchan's events.
Because of this voice thingy, I also ended up paying more attention to the audio of the game! Here are some changes I did this past week:
- Made the volumes of all BGMs matched (I didn't bother to do that before... because I didn't know how to do it lol x'D)
- Added some more sound effects to make it richer (slapping sound, dog / cat sound, etc)
- Added system sound effects to make it seem more like a "game" (Haato will voice "Do you want to exit the game?" when you press exit, added button hover / click sound effects, etc)
With those changes + partial voiced lines added in, I think the game sounds much better now. I can't wait to be finished with coding the voices so I can release the update to the game build as soon as possible...
For now, I'll keep working! Hopefully, I can finish coding the next 4 characters faster than I did Tocchan xD
