Added 2019-02-14 08:57:33 +0000 UTCA picture from my testshoot with beautiful Kate Chromia in Budapest. Usually I always try to test with the models before I invite them for a workshop. Not only because I want to see how good their performance is, no I also want to know about there personality.
Our workshops have a quite friendly atmosphere so it's very important that the model fits in well. And Kate does for sure ;)
This picture was taken in N'Dustrial studio in Budapest. A very nice place with 4 different studios and a showroom for furnitures. I liked the showroom really much, it had a nice flair. Only problem was on that day it was the only room withour air conditioner on a hot summer day in august :P

2019-02-14 17:53:08 +0000 UTC2018 I hosted 70 workshops and photo events. So I like to be a little bit creative in terms of workshop names ;) As long as you know how to handle your equipment and want to learn about sensual model photography with available light, you are right ;)

A sensual lifestyle/nude workshop can be named: Sensual Nude / Sensual Seduction / Pleasure & Passion / Sensual Erotic for example. The shooting topics are always in the discription of the workshop. Usually it differs from Portrait | Portrait & Boudoir | Boudoir & Nudes. My way of teaching is also quite similar. Due to the fact, that I work in small groups, the shooting part of the workshop becomes kind of an individual coaching. There's so much to teach about people photography with available light that I think it makes only sense, to give individual advices for my participants while shooting part. Photographers like this way of coaching very much and usually come back many times. I had participants who came easily 10-15 times. Also their skills developed really well. :)

For example when I travel to Moscow or to Budapest due to work or even family reasons, I'm searching for models who are interesting and contact them. Sometimes I even check which cities are kind of "on the way" where we can do a stop for 1-2 nights and do some tests. Last year we did this in Prague, driving home from Budapest after New Years Eve. But also many models are traveling and they contact me, when they come to Cologne. If I like their portfolio, I invite them for a test. And sometimes I even invite models and pay their flights if I really want to work the them :) Good thing about traveling by myself is, that I get to shoot in different locations which is always inspiring. Only bad thing is that it's much more work to scout and organise a good shooting location.

2019-02-14 17:35:05 +0000 UTCWhile we're on the topic of models for the workshops... I've been wondering for a long time about the names of the different workshops in the schedule. Are they named the way they are because of the model's personality, or are they different because of the topic/genre you're aiming for in the specific shoot? If the latter, I hope it's not too much bother to ask you to tell us a little bit more about the differences between the different workshops. I think that might be useful for people who like me are having a hard time choosing which workshops to attend. (Although I'm sure all are great, and one can always fall back to choosing based on which model he/she likes the most)

2019-02-14 16:57:57 +0000 UTCThanks for the background info! Do you usually try to bring/invite the Models to your studio in Köln or would you rather just shoot in the town where the specific model is located? Or is it just different everytime and depends on the whole circumstances :-)
