Billy walked over where the Joe Murderetti sat on the empty pool wall waiting for him. Billy eyes never wavered from Joe Murder's. Billy and his monster saw so much more than just the man sitting in front of him. Although the setting sun was filtering through the windows, Billy saw the massive billowing shadow that was Joe Murder filling the room. Billy walked right between Joe Murders legs and stared up into his eyes. Swirling clouds of blue plasma churned in the BOSS's eyes. It was like looking down a tunnel of pure power into black nothingness at the end of it. Billy couldn't see it, but his eyes shined with dimmer but similar lights.
"You've got a choice to make boy." Joe Murder said, his his voice deep and dripping with power. The room around them seem to tremble around them. Joe Murder laid his right hand on Billy's shoulder as he leaned down so their eye's locked. Billy's other sight could see the black billowing shadow surrounding him as the BOSS's attention focused on him, in him. Nothing else existing in that moment than him and Joe Murder. Time stopped as Joe Murder showed Billy.
Billy couldn't explain it, but Joe Murderetti showed Billy what he was and what he offered. Billy and his monster saw it all. Mayhem and Destruction on a level Billy never imagined. The ground cracking under his very steps. Army's trembling at his approach. Wars on a vast scale unlike man had never seen. Battles where he would face beings who were thought to be myths or stories whispered in the dark. Billy understood what he was being offered as the last of 7 men to serve Joe Murderetti in ways this world had never seen before.
Joe Murder showed him things that had happened in places and times that no longer existed; and potential places where Billy would be able to wreak havoc that would reverberate though reality.
When Joe Murder was finished only the unspoken question remained. That black shadow that felt both like a dark warm welcoming embrace or a bone crushing soul shredding trap. Billy knew it wasn't a threat, it was a fact. He had seen beyond the veil, he either chose to walk in that darkness or he would feed it with his very soul.
Joe Murder said nothing. No cajoling. No threats. It lay in front of them. Billy had to make this choice, the 7 had to serve willingly. Time seem to stop, waiting for Billy's choice.
There was no choice for Billy, there never was. There was only the answer that he had been meant to give the since the day he was conceived. A massive metaphysical bell tolled that reverberated around the world as Billy simply say, "Yes."
Around the globe 6 other Doomtroopers stopped and looked toward the horizon where their last brother joined their ranks. The circle closed. The key turned in the lock. However, they were not the only to feel this change or hear this dark bell toll. There were others similar to Joe Murder, men and women of power who now knew something dangerous was among them. They did not know what yet, but one day soon they would. They would need to prepare.
Joe Murder looked into his 7th and saw the answer was not only given freely, but with a longing and hunger for what he offered. Joe Murderetti, his name for this place and moment in time, smiled, as that last piece stepped into place with eagerness.
