Patreon and Taxes

First let me thank all of you for your support. I appreciate you subscription to my Patreon site and your support for my work. About a month ago Patreon notified us that globally they were being forced to collect sales taxes based upon the subscribers geographical location. That tax will be added on to the cost of the Tier you have signed up for. Depending on where you reside that tax could be as little as 25 cents (in the US) or .80 cents (in the US). In UK and Europe there will be some form of VAT tax I believe. Elsewhere in the world, you will find that whatever your country, state, and or region enforces as their local tax code, it will be applied to your subscription as of July 1st, 2020. Note: those of us in the US can also be required to pay income taxes on those same funds.

Please note, I DO NOT receive any of those funds. Patreon, does not receive any of those funds. They are all being passed on to each of our (yours and mine) collective governments. I can rant and rave about this, but it is simply now a fact of life. I hope this does not force you (by choice or circumstance) to reconsider your support of my work and other artist you may support on Patreon. I truly enjoy sharing my work with you all, but I do understand that in these times every little bit counts. Thank you for understanding.
