Previews start!

Hi everyone!

Today officially fires the starting gun on preview season. With the writing mostly done and the maps more or less made for Best Frenemies, the next stage is rendering it and integrating it with the game.

I'm far too far off being able to put any sort of time estimate on it right now, especially as life is still very busy here, but as ever, no news is good news and its progressing.

I've also done quite a bit of under-the-hood stuff recently, including completing the quest hints system, which should now work in school, and developing an innovative new technique for creating composite images which will greatly cut down on production time for any scenes with multiple clothing options and/or ribbons for Bad Girl Missy. Once I'm satisfied that there isn't any more to be done in making that quicker and easier for myself, I can start in earnest to go back over old scenes and bring them up to code.

But you aren't here to hear how I make the images, you're here for a look at some of what I've been making! Unless you're trying to avoid previews and teasers, in which case this is a good place for you to leave us. I should mention that as always, I'll be holding some big surprises back for release itself - you'll not be finding out, for instance, what the dark area I teased previously is until you're exploring it for yourself.

Anyway, on with the previews!

It's not much of a spoiler, for example, to show you that Missy will be spending some time in the now very familiar "naughty little girl" pose. Displayed naked in the corridor, hands on head so she can't cover her modesty. at least she's facing the wall though. Not that this makes it any less embarrassing.

Ever the naughty girl herself, Jess can also be found in this compromising position. Face like thunder, the bad girl contemplates her misbehaviour... or more likely what she's going to do to whoever got her put like this!

Oh-oh. This can't be good. Headmistress Gloria Whorle addresses our two naughty girls. No Alancia's girl ever wants to come to her attention. Missy is at least in white underwear here, but as always, the choice to do that is yours, not hers!

Miss Paris and Miss Whorle exchange a friendly greeting as they pass. Missy and Jess simply stand there in their shame, waiting to see what humiliation will befall them next. Somehow, all of this is going to bring you and her together eventually!

On top of the story-specific pictures, I'm slowly building a library of generic images to be used multiple times in class events. The idea is that eventually every in-class conversation, including, for example, the history lessons, can feature rendered pictures to further blur the line between RPGM game and visual novel. This one is "Natalie ranting about something in group study." Our cute little wannabe activist has quite a bit of content coming up, particularly in the planned future quest Charity Begins at School.

With this, rendering has now properly started on Jess's relationship quest, and it's now starting to be integrated with the game. Up next, the school council will be polled on what they'd like to see accompany it in the next release.
