New Environment - Creation Station (sneak peek)

Our environment designer, Pegashis, has been working on this new map for the character creators among us, giving them the option to measure their characters directly while working on them. The measure bar features both metric units (on the left) and imperial units (on the right).

But that's not all!

The map will be accessible in both character creator and interaction mode, replacing the blank arena map and offering much more than just a measurement system.

The second half of the map includes an office and workstation, along with a cozy combination of a bedroom with a comfy sofa and a kitchen area! Without further explanation, check out the screenshots to get a better idea of what’s coming.

We hope you will enjoy it and it will help not only the character creators but will also inspire our animators to new scenes and setups.

A display for exact measurements, eh? That’ll be very useful when you need to be particularly specific about a character’s exact height. Seems like the URP migration’s going to be the next big hurdle to clear once interactions are sufficiently polished up. It certainly sounds like it’ll really open up options in the visuals department both for the dev team and the user base.

You guessed correctly with meters and feet and we turned your suggestion to reality. The final version of the measure installment will feature a display what unit you currently look at. As for the lighting, all I can say is that the 'Built-In Render Pipeline,' which the project currently uses, limits us in this area. Once we successfully transition to the Universal Render Pipeline, many new features will become possible, and custom lights may be one of them—though I can't promise anything on that front.

Thanks for the quick response!! All good here

Hi there DapraMiklos, Are you sure you're running the FurryVNE.exe after extracting all the files from the archive? You're not supposed to run the FurryVNE_2024-10-05.exe more than once! (To extract the contents.)

FurryVNE Team

Hello! Just downloaded the oct 2024 build. Can't seem to launch the application. I've already extracted using 7-zip. It keeps getting me to extract again when I click on the application. can I get some help? Love the content

DapraMiklos

yeah it would be cool if a universal ruler Part came with the software like all the available ears & hair pieces. But if you didn't already know, @Yetoff's Rouge the Werebat character comes equipped with the most feature-rich ruler. That's what I use to size up my actresses.

just as an idea, could we get like a placeable 3d model of height/width stick? it doesnt have to measure anything beyond whatever tick marks are on it, but, this could be used across the maps if its an asset rather than a detail of a specific map. this would help greatly with scaling issues

rugarou

Yes, it's definitely planned to make the furniture movable at a certain point.

Looks like my guess last time was pretty far off the mark. Still, this is even better. Good to have an official height scale too, rather than people relying on that old, potentially slightly off measuring stick model I made way back during the forum days. I do have a few suggestions, though. It would be useful to mark on the scale which units are represented (meters and feet, by the look of it) on their respective sides for added clarity. A neutral, bright, white light is the optimal choice for initially designing a character of course, but would it be possible for the player to control the color and intensity of the stage lights? See their characters under a variety of lighting conditions and check how any glowing bits look, though the latter can be facilitated by just putting them in one of the dark corners next to the stage and the former by loading in other environments, I suppose. Also, the bed’s quite exposed. Handy for some scenarios, sure, but options for privacy wouldn’t hurt. I think you mentioned at some point that moving things on maps isn’t possible yet, so curtains are probably not feasible. How about smart glass windows that can be toggled to be opaque?

In the near future do you guys know if these existing maps will have adjustable nodes? Like the Yoga ball from YL1 Ocean House or the Bathroom stalls from YL1 Rest&Bar map? I just want to be able to open doors and throw chairs :)

I get major Ednas lab vibes from the incredables

This is what we have been waiting for! New cool mao and an official scale for measuring!

Static_snowflake

Definitely after URP migration. Not sure if it happens before or after VR/POV. Probably sometime next year though.

Nice work. Do you how an ETA on when custom maps will be available?

AMAZING!!! 😍
