Example interactions

Blacky, Craket, MobiusScarf and Thirteeenth have been kind enough to give us some example interactions!

Linked below (UPDATED):

http://storage.googleapis.com/furryvne-downloads/07.07.24-Interaction-Examples.rar

(Old link can be found here (v1), here (v2), here (v3), here (v4), here (v5), here (v6), here (v7), here (v8), here (v9). Not compatible with latest version.)

Instructions

Put the character hash files in %appdata%\FurryVNE\Cloud\Interaction\Characters\<version_folder>, then load the interaction.

All the best.

Comments

ah yeah that was it. you should probably update the instructions. tyvm for ur help

wowsucks

Right, in the newer builds, the characters need to be placed into the correct version sub folder. In this case it is AppData\Roaming\FurryVNE\Cloud\Interaction\Characters\16.

FurryVNE Team

right, so im on the may 31st build that just came out. and i put all the .fvne_compiled_character files into AppData\Roaming\FurryVNE\Cloud\Interaction\Characters. and then i start the game and try to load the .fvne_ic file and i get an error asking me if the characters are missing from the cache

wowsucks

They're very version dependent. Make sure you're using the latest build and examples, and then put the files in the folders according to the instruction. All this will get much easier once cloud for interactions is implemented! Then you'd just click the load button and it'll load in the app.

FurryVNE Team

idk wtf is going on but i cant get this shit to work no matter what i try

wowsucks

Here's the updated archive : https://storage.googleapis.com/furryvne-downloads/InteractionsExamplesV20022024.7z

FurryVNE Team

Getting error. The character with Hash (Number) is not compatible with this version of FurryVNE. you will have to Re-Export! Anyone else?

PainCakes

It might also be helpful to wipe the folder and re-extract and then follow the readme. Put the interactions in the folder above the Characters you copy in. That worked for me.

Biscuit

you must take the files out of the folders and place them at %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters you can't leave them in the folder that they come with that is how I got it to work

Froyst

You simply need to place the characters which that interaction needs into the %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters folder.

FurryVNE Team

How do you know how many charaters you need for the interaction to not show the cache "missing characters" error?

vantheer

ah, thanks a lot

Anon

Incorrect. Compiled characters need to be in %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters. It doesn't matter where the interaction file is.

FurryVNE Team

also, I'm going to assume there's been some mixup, as I haven't provided a log yet 😅

Anon

same error others seem to be experiencing. error due to missing characters in cache. I put the example interactions in '%appdata%\Roaming\FurryVNE\interactions\cloud', and I copied the compiled character files in '%appdata%\Roaming\FurryVNE\Characters'

Anon

That is likely not the issue. Can you give more details of what is not working?

FurryVNE Team

Resolved in dm:s. (Issue was previous installation interfering with new due to overwrite in same directory.)

FurryVNE Team

I tried it (and followed the instructions in the .ZIP), it doesn't seem to be working for me. thing I noticed was that the compiled characters are a different format than the characters I've compiled for interactions (.fvne_compiled_character vs .yl2fc), could this be causing the issue?

Anon

I hope you can do something about it :)

THe GERio

hmmm can i send it via email or via discord? unfortunately i do not know why the link does not work, this way I can send it directly without any detours

THe GERio

The link is not accessible.

THe GERio

Go to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\FurryVNE Team\FurryVNE\ and share Player.log with us please.

FurryVNE Team

The problem is that I can't get into the program properly! I click Create (Character or Inertaction) It stops at Initializing

THe GERio

When in the character builder press the "Help > Open error log" command.

FurryVNE Team

Where exactly can I find it? I'm a little unsure haha

THe GERio

Can you share the error log? (Help > Open error log).

FurryVNE Team

The problem is that I previously worked with a character, saved it and then updated the program, maybe it's because the initializing doesn't go any further??

THe GERio

You must run the app first (and pass the authentication so the app is properly initialized) before the folder is created.

FurryVNE Team

I tried the same thing Even with instructions I'm not getting any further 🤣 WinKey + R everything is ok, but with entering %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters This does not work for me!! I can't get into the folder, or it doesn't exist Hmm 🤔

THe GERio

I believe a crucial readme.txt file was provided within the zip. It reads: 2. Once the screen with two options appears, select "Create" and then "Interaction". 3. Press WinKey + R to open the Windows run prompt. 4. Paste the following string: %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters 5 Press enter. This will open the relevant folder in Windows Explorer. 6. Copy the relevant .fvne_compiled_character files from the InteractionExamples to this folder (%appdata/[...]/Characters). 7. In FurryVNE, open the .fvne_ic file.

Zexiara ✨

Read the readme.txt! (You need to copy the .fvne_compiled_character files to %appdata%/FurryVNE/Cloud/Interaction/Characters)

FurryVNE Team

If you load the yl2fc file into an interaction, it will create a copy of it in the cache in your AppData folder. Then you should be able to open the interaction.

Mobius Scarf

Am I being an idiot for not being able to use the provided interaction examples? The error I get is "There was an error trying to load the interaction because one or more characters are missing from cache". I also noticed the changed file type for characters in this build is .yl2fc, instead of .yl2c
