Weekly Update and survey/feedback summary!

Heya guys, so I'll be working on Jikage Rising as mentioned last week, nothing much has changed from the plan, a bit of the updated battle sprite can be seen in the discord. I'll also have some of the updated art up as a sneak peek after this post haha.

Now with that done, here's the summary of feedback and what's going to be done about it!

So I'm not gonna cover the boring stuff like how you guys rated me, cause there's not much to be expanded on and it's really an "overall score". And I can't really go through the super specific stuff unless they have been brought up multiple times, but rest assured that I've gone through all 700 responses that everyone has given.

So first things first, the general summary:

For Jikage Rising, most people seem like the characters, with the gameplay being the main issue for most people. To address this, I will be adding in the combat system back and making the events more "quest-like" as per arc 1, which has a bit of a mixed response now apparently. There were complaints about how the combat system sucked, but after I removed it people wanted it back, it was weird lol. Aside from that, the bugs in the mission system were a big issue, which also contributed to the "gameplay" issue that most people encountered. In terms of the non-provided, i.e. typed responses, a big thing that was mentioned was the grind, I'll try to reduced the amount that is needed for the outfits. 

Speaking of which, I have began to remove the mission system from the game, I'm mostly at the point of making sure that there's no "residue code".


And now onto The responses for The Star Cove Incident and Nano-control, which I'm guessing is where most people stop reading hahaha. Anyway, I'm guessing people might be wondering why I did a poll for Nano-control even when it's no longer being updated, the main reason is mostly to get data for future games. 

For Nano-control, Character and Story seems to be the main thing that people like, with them being super close to each other. The main issue people have with the game seem to be the engine, which isn't too much of a surprise I suppose. 

As for Star Cove, it's pretty much on the other end of the spectrum with the story being the main issue, it might have been a bit too confusing and unclear, which is totally a mistake on my end, hopefully the continuation will make things clearer, but in any case, it's a failing caused by my lack of ability. 


With regards to the "bonus pic" at the end of the survey, just to clarify a few things:

1)It's not a scene that's a part of Jikage Rising and/or Star Cove

2)I'm not making a third game before Jikage Rising/ Star Cove is finished, that would be a horrible horrible idea lol, there simply isn't enough hands

3)It's just something that was made months ago for fun, don't worry too much about it


So generally there seem to be some misconception/ misunderstanding, so here are some of the stuff worth mentioning:

1)I'm not interested at all in making a dating sim with Parody characters (i.e. Naruto, Bleach, My Hero Academia), it's not really something I'm personally into making.

2)Patreon/Subscribe Star is the "main site" for my stuff, there seems to be some misunderstanding that they are third party sites for some reason.

3)There are two games that we're working on, with a releases on the first and third weekend, I have roughly two weeks to work on each game per release, mostly saying this cause some people have an idea that I'm only working on Jikage Rising.

4)I'm not a furry


So yeap, generally these are the stuff, there are some more things that need tweaking in terms of the system we have going on here, but I'm making plans in the background as always, I'll get a post up once something more concrete is ready, it's mostly dealing with boring stuff like people trying to abuse certain stuff, doesn't really affect most people haha.

First of all, I wanted to say hello, I'm a big fan! I found and played your Nano-control game some months ago and I loved it, so now to come and find out you're making a Naruto game is great! Think I will wait until it's a bit more complete before getting started on it, but I wanted to let you know I think it's a fantastic idea and certainly wish you the best of lucks in its development! (Also, I see you're going through 'ages' and also adding characters through some sort of time-travel plot, so is there a chance of the next or last arc going to the Boruto age/universe to get some girls from there and also MILF versions of the current Konoha girls, to have both the teenagers and the grown-up ones XP? This isn't a petition, more of a curiosity as the time-travel plot reminded me an old fic I read ages ago that did a similar thing, even if realistically that should have created a time-ending paradox XD) Oh, and seeing the things you 'clarified' there, out of curiosity, even if you're not interested in a Dating Sim game, are you considering making another "parody" game after you're done with the Naruto one? Given your work in Nano-control, I always thought you would probably do an amazing High School DxD game in a similar vein myself.
