Updoots and a question!
Added 2019-08-27 06:41:44 +0000 UTCHey guys! I've been severely under the weather the past week, and haven't been sitting up much. when i have, i've been working more on finishing up getting Skyclad touched up with the editor, and that's ALMOST done. Sometime this week we'll have that wrapped up and ready to get started on actual publication!
Here's where the question comes in. I can publish it in print sooner if i leave the cover as it is now on royal road. OR! i can take the extra time to commission a brand new cover. I always planned to commission a professional one, but since i'm paying out of pocket for the editing, and i don't want to settle for lesser quality work, i simply haven't been able to yet.
so my question for all you guys is, are yall okay with me waiting on a better cover before going to print, and in the meantime getting copies of the finished ebook as soon as it's ready? i mean, patrons were always going to get a copy of the ebook, but it was going to be sent out at the same time as i published. If i'm commissioning a custom cover, i have no idea how long the wait time on things like that can be, so i'd want to get the ebook to you guys as soon as possible. let me know here in the comments!
The next chapter is in progress, i've just been working on so many things, on top of being sick, that i haven't been talkin much, and i apologize for that. thank you guys so much:)

2019-09-01 03:07:54 +0000 UTCI oddly think the original cover was rather good. If anything use that but include the runes that she eventually gets on her back.
2019-09-01 03:05:21 +0000 UTCBetter cover art is (strangely, to me) a good way to get the second glance that leads to a purchase.. as much as I want to get my hands on an actual complete copy.

2019-08-29 11:57:32 +0000 UTCI think a good cover image would be the scene where Morgan is on fire and shooting mana out of her hands while in the crown of the life tree after she ate the fruit since that's the source of the worldwalker name she was given by the prophet

2019-08-28 06:21:53 +0000 UTCSecond this. There have been a number of books I passed up initially due to a bad cover that I later really enjoyed. A good cover is important if you want people to read your work.

2019-08-27 17:34:33 +0000 UTCThere are a lot a really good books that I've passed over for years because of their cringy covers. You can't judge a book a by its cover, but everyone does anyway. No offense, but I did actually skip over Skyclad on Royal Road for quite a while, because of the cover; naked chick with a lufa (while) accurate to your story, suggests something altogether different.

2019-08-27 17:29:50 +0000 UTCI say definitely go for the commissioned cover. When I’m skimming for books the main things I look at are title and cover, only after something has grabbed my attention do I look at book description and reviews. I’m sure most people skim for books this way these days.

2019-08-27 15:23:26 +0000 UTCYeah wait for the new cover, the best cover can only help you
