Do slimes need baths?

I always thought of slimes (outside if soecialized ones) as inherently antiviral/antibacterial/antifungal because they consume those things and inorganic materials would be better washed way in a shower. A bath seems like it would be for enjoyment or perhaps a medical treatment in the form of artificially increasing the slimes body temperature to kill off diseases that have evolved to survive inside a slime. (Sorry for overthink the question)
