I've actually seen A LOT of people talk about this show in different anime forums, so while it'd still be niche, it's definitely not one of those incredibly niche things with only people from a specific region or two. This show is literally the most recommended donghua.

He wasn't telling them things they didn't want to hear or anything bad, he was telling them good things, things that the person always wished he said. Thats why they all had positive reactions. There's good shows all over the world. I heard of this show before and I think it gained some popularity especially in east asia but I'm surprised at how popular a demand it is on this channel haha
