(Quick) Video Production Update August 1st 2025 (Hopefully the Actual Final Update for the Big Video)

Hey everybody. I'm sorry to report that while I've been toiling away this month trying to finalise the big video on Silent Hill 4, I'm still a little bit away from it being done.

Since my last post I've been reviewing the video and flagging various things I wanted changed. This has led to me writing another 10 pages of additions and corrections, as well as completing another couple runs of the game for both added footage and to verify a few obscure things.

The good news is I've recorded those 10 pages and added them to the timeline. This means hopefully I just need to add a few clips to the new segments and then rewatch one more time to check if all is ok.

Thanks to these additions the video has expanded from 3:20 last update to 3:40, so I hope the extra content makes up for the wait.

There were also a few personal events out of my control this month that impacted things a little, but I'm sick of this not being done and the runaway is clear in the coming days to focus on finishing it for good.

I've never uploaded a video of this size before either, so hopefully things go smoothly on that front, I'll keep you updated if there are any major snags.

I'm also trying to figure out how to make some of the dark subject matter discussed suitable for Youtube. The Silent Hill 3 Analysis got snagged for mature content and I'm trying to avoid that happening again, so forgive me if I have to work around certain words or remove them entirely; blur certain bits etc. I'll try and keep that to the absolute minimum if I have to at all. It's an extra annoying stress added on top of finalising, that I hope goes smoothly too.

I can't wait to get back to shorter videos (of maybe the 1 HOUR long variety) and to unwind with some Patreon exclusive stuff soon. All future projects will feel like a holiday compared to this.
