Taylor and other friends did not like him for Selena and there is video of Taylor making a “yuck” face when Justin approaches Selena in a crowded room. There’s also photos of him leaving her house in the middle of the night when they were in an on-again off again situation. “Did you leave her house in the middle of the night” “That meteor strike” refers to when Hailey swooped in- (Halley’s Comet).

I have a fiend that had an abortion she didn’t want, but the man left, and she didn’t want to raise a baby alone. Never could have done it alone and not give that child a family they deserve. She also cries deeply…. “Salt steams out my eyes and into my ears”…laying down for an abortion or a miscarriage, they have to remove the fetus. It’s likely not about what she’s speaking on this, but there’s a huge amount of women who feel this deeply for that reason…You should read the comments under this song on YouTube. “I’m never gonna meet what could’ve have been, would have been, what should have been you” and finally “Did some bird flap its wings over in Asia? Did some force take you because I didn't pray? Every single thing to come has turned into ashes 'Cause it's all over, it's Not meant to be So I'll say words I don't believe Goodbye, goodbye,goodbye….” I’ll shut up now, lol. But that’s what I love her music, everyone feels it so differently. Passionate Swiftie and a writer. That song is a stab in the gut. I hope it’s not about that, because I wouldn’t wish that pain and loss on my worst enemy. Love y’all, thank you for taking her music seriously, I love you both! ♥️✌🏽

I see it as a realization that you got to have your own back over time and knowing that YOU got yourself everything you have by doing the work. 2024-07-08 02:17:49 +0000 UTCMidnight rain is about outgrowing a lover who was nice enough but didn’t fit into her life anymore as she was chasing success. “I guess sometimes we all get just what we wanted” sums up the whole sentiment of the song for me because when you make a choice like that you get what you want in the sense that you achieve what you’re going after, but you also had to choose to leave that person so it’s bittersweet.

2024-06-27 19:29:48 +0000 UTC"Lavender Haze" is an old-timey expression that was used in the 50s or 60s that basically meant being in that "totally in love" phase, where you're high on love, maybe even a little delusional, and you're too happy to pay attention to the negative things other people may be saying about your relationship or any outside pressure. Taylor said she heard the expression on an episode of Mad Men and was inspired by it.

She's a grown woman in her 30s now, not the teenage prodigy anymore. She kicked an eating disorder, but she most likely still struggles with it on those sleepless nights. Plus she, like, 5'10" or 5'11", so she literally stands out in a grouping of girls no matter what. ...midnight rain....rain comes and washes and carries everything away, good and bad. Like, the chalk drawings on the sidewalks disappear, but also the the trash and spills and grime get washed away as well. Midnight rain, I think, would literally be washing the streets clean while you are sleeping and you wake up to the new changes.
