Ideas for 'We Cast MatPat' Movie 🐻

We are slowly approaching 1 mil and as promised we are planning towards a collab with MatPat to cast him in a movie (how crazy).
Our initial idea is to create a short film spin-off based on the brief role he played in the FNAF movie. We know you legends would have some interesting ideas that we could build upon for a script and pitch to MatPat + we just thought it would be cool to loop you in to the process a little bit.
So we wanted to ask you guys...
If MatPat's FNAF character was the lead in a short film, what would the plot be?

Ness notices that the same pick up truck has been left outside Freddy’s for days now, the same truck a rude customer and his quiet sister were driving a few days ago. He starts just curious, but then when he asks officer Vanessa about it, he needs to be silenced! Even if it is: Just a Theory!

Somehow he starts discovering missing persons and is investigating it from the other end, and eventually runs across Fazbear entertainment. He discovers the truth but the film ends with his death before he can let anyone else know, Phone Guy style.

He has amnesia of the events of what happened but she went missing after his birthday party at the pizzeria many years ago. He has regrets about it and hates his birthday. She returns one day as if she was never missing and was always there the next morning. We find out at the end he was dragged away (taken) by animatronics the previous evening.

As it happens strange and strange thing start happen to him. At the end he final reminders and wake up. It was matpat all along in a sleep pod on a alien ship being resrched by aliens.

I think it would be interesting to have a Shyamalan-esque twist where maybe Ness is the one behind the disappearances of customers at the dinner because I dunno they skipped lunch or whichever was the most important meal. hahahah just a thought

Regarding the idea for a movie, I really like the idea from earlier in the thread, where Sans starting investigating the mysterious disappearances surrounding that Pizzeria and it drives him almost mad. Definitively must include a conspiracy board scene, maybe something similar to Matpat's Ending 4/6: The Insane Ending?

So what if Ness is actually MatPat but he’s in hiding and has taken on a new identity because “Big Breakfast” is out to get him for his controversial theory and attempt to take down their brand “Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day”. Popular Breakfast brand mascots can be hunting him down.

2024-07-10 23:22:15 +0000 UTCYou could do a breaking of the fourth wall type story where Matpat (as ness) notices weird things going on in the diner and decides to either vlog or create a YouTube channel/ upload the weird occurrences online. He starts to create his own theories on what will happen and they start coming true. At the beginning he just thinks it’s it’s a coincidence , but at the end he realizes he is his own character and the theories he makes become his reality. You could also do a b plot with his dad, sparky where he is pulling the strings somehow through his spirit. Anyways don’t know that much about fnaf but this is my take on a cool story.

We start with him saying goodbye like he did at the end of your movie, then we move to him having a crisis of how will he cope with the issues at hand, he is a father, he is a lore maker and founder, he needs to solve how to be a parent and how to connect with him being retired.

2024-07-10 21:29:39 +0000 UTCI think that the concept of ”theories” should play some role in the plot. However, I don’t think that Five Nights at Freddys should be included at all. This should be its own story. A spinoff. But the scene from the fnaf movie should be included. That would be a great way to give the viewer a different context to the scene. We would see that interaction from Ness perspective.

2024-07-10 21:28:05 +0000 UTCOkay plot idea: Ness, with the job he has, would notice regulars going missing suddenly. Kids that were once boisterous troublemakers now only seen on missing posters strewn across town. Ness, known for his crazy theories, concocts that there is a connection between the missing children's incident that happened all those years ago, and the ones occuring recently. Of course, people don't believe him. He's one of the biggest promoters of Dream Theory, and is trying to convince people that their favourite non-copyright italian plumber is actually evil. So he does some investigating on his own. He could've eavesdropped on the conversation that was had during the movie about how easy it would be to break in. Presumably there'd be a bad ending with that idea. If you're looking for something shorter and not explicitly fnaf-related, perhaps a comedy about him get fired from his job for promoting crazy conspiracies to customers ( and telling customers that breakfast isn't actually important ), and his job hunting journey. I can imagine a joke about how bad the pizzeria location pays the customer in there somewhere.

Plus MatPat seems to be into the mystery genre and it could potentially be a neat crossover with his LoreFi project.

Knowing how excited and musical that man gets, I can only imagine something with the pacing of a high school musical number but it's creepier and scarier than Sweeney Todd. Would also love to see you boys challenged with the choreography of a musical short film!

2024-07-10 20:55:29 +0000 UTCI think that y'all could focus the plot around Ness hearing rumors about strange things going on at Freddy's and he decides to dig into the mystery, maybe he gets in too deep and people come after him? Maybe y'all tap into the weird spiritual stuff going on and have him be contacted by ghosts of the dead kids? I think there definitely, at some point, needs to be a whiteboard shot with red threads connecting different pieces of evidence and Ness just going crazy trying to figure out what's happening, there could be a lot of fun Easter Egg opportunities in that lol Can't wait to see what y'all come up with! I atcually found y'all through the MatPat trailer and just had to follow on Patreon to help support!
