Skip 136 - 143. Those are just saving people or something. The "fillers" before that 131-135 is pretty neat to know more about stuff. It sums up some great stuff. 135-143 is just something unralated to the story

As for the filler, I don't think there's anything canon about the world in them, but it's good content. You get to spend time with the main characters, which I think you WILL want after this Alabasta arc ends. I think I'm safe saying that most One Piece fans have watched and accepted the filler to some degree. The show is all about adventure and stuff, so the filler sometimes doesn't feel like filler. It just feels like you're exploring more of the world. The main story is more interesting in hindsight, but skipping to the most interesting parts isn't how an adventure goes the first time around. That being said, I don't think anyone would mind if you skipped the filler anyway. The next arc is pretty good and I know everyone is hyped for it

Vivi's screaming is pretty sad. I tear up every time I see these episodes lol. She watches her childhood protector sacrifice himself for a country that's still killing itself down below, The bomb is gone, Crocodile is defeated, she had nothing left but to scream and pray that her people would hear her. The visuals are very powerful too, she's standing on the edge of the clock tower with her feet halfway over the edge. It's the image of a person who's broken almost to the point of giving up everything, yet still clinging to a small amount of hope

Phew one major arc down. On to the next one we go! Time to re-hype. I think there’s maybe 10+ episodes after Alabasta official ends. I honestly don’t care either way, if you decide to skip them or not, but I think it’s worth watching on your own. I think someone already mentioned that canon stuff resume 2nd half of 143 but full episode wise then 144.

The only episodes I would consider skipping are 136-138. I would love to send you straight to the new Arc, but I enjoyed the others personally and can be patient. There's so much One Piece its not a sprint its a marathon, and there is usually some great moments in the One Piece filler episodes, I think the change of pace is welcome.

In regards to the filler...it's actually One Piece's longest stretch of filler last for 13 episodes. On one hand you COULD skip them to get straight to the next arc and keep the momentum going. The filler arc does have a unique story structure with character focused episodes and two mini-arcs. It's just more fun with the crew but it doesn't add anything to the story except (insert spoiler here). Also folks PLEASE don't talk about the spoiler, I typed it to dance around it as much as I could.

It's kind a weird feeling everytime when saga comes close to end. All the build up started allrdy from Reverse Mountain which were like ep 62-63 when we were introduced to Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday and here we are at finish line. Also Aj How did you enjoy Crocodile as a villain? I know you called him asshole a lot but doesnt that mean he was good villain =D Would love to hear your final thoughts on the whole Alabasta saga and how you enjoyed it as a whole at end of 130 or so :D

This arc ends with episode 130. There's a batch of 5 episodes, 131-135 which are filler, but they're character focused. IMO 131 is worth watching. Then there's a 3 episode filler arc which IMO is skippable. Then there's a 5 episode filler arc which is skippable but I enjoyed it. Canon episodes resume on 144.

Seeing Crocodile getting smacked after all this time is so satisfiying and this is actually One Piece now :D btw the Filler are really bad, there are only one or two actual good fillers and these are non of them.

I really love the symbolism of how Luffy punching Croc from underground since Crocodile was doing shady stuff behind the government to the light.
