Some clarification to your questions: - 100 is the max level, and it is rather easy to achieve it, because when your character dies you lose experience and thus level. The devs of Iggdrasil made leveling rather easy allowing players to change their build by letting their character die several times and level up again changing their build. - Almost all floor guardians, except Victim are level 100 and could possibly defeat our protagonist in a battle. The outcome of a fight does not depend on level alone, as there are skills and certain build, which are more effective against others. I can help you to dive into the different build of the NPC's and Momonga/Ainz. To really understand the power dynamic of this series I would recommend diving a little into it. - Yes Momonga/Ainz is the villain, thus the name Overlord. But he is also a normal person and this is where the challenge comes in. He is overpowered but lacks in terms of leadership and has to grow in other aspects than power.

I played WoW back in the day, and only after half a year me and the guild leader found out we lived so close to each other that if we could probably hit each others house with a rock. I got instantly promoted :) Momonga was MAX level in the game, he said himself :)

Oh and as a quick thing all those NPCs in that guild were made by the guild members so those descriptions were written by players, oh and it is Implied this is a real world he was just transferred into it

I am SO happy to finally get this reaction AJ woop woop! I'll add on a little info to what petr mentioned: -Yes one of the players names was 'touch me'. honestly im surprised so many of them had kinda normal sounding names and not meme names with a bunch of numbers. -The 'NPC's were all 'fleshed out' by other players, so they are unique to that guild, not 'generic npc X' within the world of the game. -When he messes with Albedos description (She was fleshed out by a player named Tabula -san, one well known for being ridiculously detailed, and for making contradictory characters) -In the dub its made clear that the two small twins you meet are both 'traps'. the skirt wearing one is male, and the suit wearing one is female. I'll find a clip or two for you of the Dub, IMO both are great for this show, very good quality, but the dub better emphasis's his dorky loser 'inner' voice, and his stronger more evil lich lord voice. Also dub Albedo is just as sexy sounding., maybe more so :P

AJ, thank you so much for doing this reaction :) I will post here a bit of the info that was left out of the episode and that might give you more insight to many actions that happened in the episode. There are no spoilers, its all stuff from episode 1 - The closing of Yggdrasil goes by much faster in the anime than in the novels, so we miss a lot of Momonga's inner turmoil during his actions before the end of the game. He was very reluctant to take the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown out, because he considers it to be a treasure that belongs to the entire guild, not just him. He eventually justifies taking it, as well as pretty much all of the other selfish actions that follow, by saying that his guild wouldn't mind if he exerted his power as the guild master in these final hours. - Quite a few details about how the NPCs and items that belong to Ainz Ooal Gown were designed and acquired are left out, but to briefly summarize, Yggdrasil allows users to import their own custom textures for many things, including equipment and designs for NPCs. As Momonga mentions, all members of the guild were also functioning members of society, so some of them had jobs which gave them an advantage in this regard, i.e. being a professional artist or graphic designer. One member of the guild was even a voice actor for hentai games, lol. Shame they couldn't have custom voices. - The reason that Momonga is instantly surprised by the fact that Albedo's face is moving is because in Yggdrasil, players and NPCs didn't have facial expressions (most likely because some of the non-human races like Herohero's Slime don't even have a normal face). This is also why both Momonga and Herohero were using emoticons at the start of the episode. - Momonga tosses the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown to the side to verify that it still functions like a dropped item in Yggdrasil would, and it does; it hovers slightly above the ground and spins, just as dropped items in most modern MMORPGs do. - The orders Momonga gives to the Pleiades and Sebas not only serve to help him gather information, but to confirm that NPCs no longer require a specific command phrase to obey his commands. - Although Albedo's reaction to Momonga touching her wrist could simply be attributed to her obsession with Momonga, there's actually another reason why she appears to be in pain. One of Momonga's classes, Skeleton Mage, has a passive skill that inflicts damage and negative effects on anyone they touch, so Albedo is taking damage from being directly in contact with him. - The ability to teleport around the Tomb of Nazarick as Momonga does comes from one of his rings, the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown. The fact that he's wearing so many rings is also of note, because Yggdrasil normally limits a player to wearing two rings (one on each ring finger). Momonga wears nine, with only his left hand ring finger being empty. This is due to yet another of his special abilities, which made him renowned in Yggdrasil as one of the most powerful ability users on the entire server. - Momonga spends much longer testing exactly how magic functions in the new world in the novel, but the result of the tests is the same as in the anime: he confirms that he is still able to use magic, but it's done more by feel now since he lacks a command console to call up his spells from. - The Primal Fire Elemental that Momonga summons may seem a valuable resource since it's above lv80, but in reality, the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown can summon one of them per day, so it's an easily disposable summon. - The black hole that appears when Momonga is getting water for Aura and Mare is another experiment the anime failed to explain; that being that he was testing to see what happened to his inventory storage box. He is now able to access items that were previously stored in his inventory simply by thinking about it. In the same note, the item he pulls out is called "Unlimited Kettle," which can create an endless supply of water. This item is completely useless for Momonga though, being an Undead-type class that requires no food or drink. He mentions in the novel that the only thing he would ever use it for was his mount.
