2020-05-30 22:35:10 +0000 UTCthe first time he exploded, he "wanted" to this tim when it happened as you noticed he passed out from being choked and was unconscious, that explosion was completely unwilling and he didnt "choose" to tat time, it was his body acting completely on its own, protecting itself sub consciously while was unconscious. So technically he still kept his word about using his powers against others because he didnt make a conscious decision to do so that time, unlike the first time. This time he had no idea he was even using his powers, the first time however he was completely aware thats why he could still talk and be reasoned with and everything.

2020-05-30 22:32:41 +0000 UTCThe way I see it you are on the right track AJ, there are two events here: one are the emotional explosions, when Mob has full control of himself,like the rage explosion in episode 3 and the sadness explosion in this episode(did you caught it?i when mob restored the school building?) And the second event is when he gets unconscious and releases other entity
