My Hero Academia S4 Eps 14 FULL REACTION

Why are the yakuza so soft? The main guy legit don't act like a villian. if I were Overhaul I'd be hella confused

Jose Flores

Mirio= No quirk Batman= No Superpower Mirio= MHA Batman? 🤔😏😂 Im joking btw xd dont hurt me 😞

PyroPhoenix

He still has his quirk, just no arms to activate it. Since compress took his arm instead of destroying it like Shigaraki did i'm hoping he at least gets the one arm back and re-joins the story. He is one of my favorite villains

Josh S.

You could be right but i think the future was changed because Eri's quirk is also a time manipulating quirk, nighteye's quirk didnt take eri's quirk into account but who knows, when time manipulation exists things get a little confusing

Krammy

Shigaraki only took the arms. This removes Overhaul's ability to use his power, therefore never able to get his quirk back and get the Yakuza boss out of the coma. Its the worst possible end for a villain like him.

This part of the story confuses me. It feels like the purpose was to reaffirm that Deku is deserving of One-For-All, but I feel, even more strongly than before, that Mirio is actully the one who should have it. Nighteye comes to the conclusion that Deku's, and everone elses, conviction is what allowed him to change the future, and it feels like that's what the creater wants us to think as well, but I disagree. Rather than the strenth of Deku's thoughts, I believe the key is in the fact that Eri's thoughts were changed. In the beginning she didn't want to be saved because she though everyone who tried would die and she didn't want to feel responcible for their deaths, but the moment her thought process changed to accepting the hero's help is when the future Nighteye foresaw was altered. Obviously Deku was part of what caused Eri to change her mind, so he did indirectly change the future, but I'd say that Mirio was also a contributing factor. If I was in Deku's place I wouldn't give Mirio One-For-All, but I don't have a hero personality, but practically speaking, I feel like the future in which Deku gives Mirio One-For-All is the future that has more lives saved. Even if Eri is able to train with her quirk to the point of restoring Mirio's permeability, his original quirk combined with One-For-All would just make him a more capable hero. But Mirio isn't the protagonist, Deku is. (also side rant: How does Deku damaging his body counteract Eri's rewinding, damage doesn't fast forward your body, it only changes it's current state.)

We don't know how long it's been, given there was time for Deku to get a full exam and the results back, and for all the others who were injured to be done being treated and in recovery, plus the "no idea how he lived this long" it's possible it was a full day. But regardless, we see his eye get that symbol in it that only happens when he is actively using his quirk.

That scene turned Shigaraki into my favorite villain in the series. I love that Overhaul's ultimate comeuppance comes from the League of Villains. And as twisted as Shigaraki is, its nice to see Overhaul get called out on his "quirk filth" BS. As for Nighteye.. Remember what he said about how is Quirk worked? That he only has one activation per day, and then he needs 24 hours to use Foresight again. I like to believe that at the end, he didn't actually see Mirio's future with his Quirk.. Rather, Midoriya has shown him that the power of belief CAN shape the future, and so he believes in Mirio becoming a great hero, "seeing it" without actually seeing it with his Quirk.

Deku can access full cowling 100% any time he wants. At present it takes focus and control for him not to exceed his limits. The only reason he doesnt use 100% is because of the physical repercussions on his body, not because he simply cant. Remember, the very first time he used one for all (against the giant training robot) he used 100% of his power but shattered himself in the process.

Elijah Moffett

I think that the stakes have been raised because remember All Might was a deterrent for most villains. And now that he is no longer that deterrent, there are wayyy more villains. So i think this season was way more dark and serious on purpose.

dendenmushi

Without any spoilers. Most of the remaining season is very fluffy. Also it's shown no sign of forgetting Mirio exists yet.

Deku can only use 20% full cowling. 100% still destroys his body with Eri rewinding it constantly.

Space

Of course, without his quirk, Overhaul is also left unable to revive the Yakuza boss that he put into a coma and he has to live with the guilt of that for the rest of his life. It’s a fitting end for someone as sick and twisted as Overhaul.
