Made in Abyss is one of my fav works of fiction, but I really wish the author would not make his weird fetishes so known. It detracts from the art.

He can see through Nanachi's eyes so he definitely wants her to get to the bottom, and in a sick way he is indeed joining Prushka on their adventure.
