Just to clear a few thing up
1st the reason he burst out of that gem, is that the gem or the seal if you will, will move you to another place, let’s say a prison cell, which means you still live there and you can move or do whatever you are capable of. But this cell has a limited space in it and this space is filled with power, for now let’s call it “mana” so I won’t spoil anything. So this particular cell Veronica was given, would be capable of trapping Jericho or guila as they are now, or Meliodas in his normal state, which is what happened. But because he could still do something in this cell after he was trapped in it, he just got really angry, which let to him getting the crest all over his body and boosting his “mana” to the extend that the cell couldn’t hold, which is why the gem shattered and he got out of it. Won’t say more about it for now as it could spoil Aj.

the reason connection between Gil & the Good guys is kinda a long twist like... foreshadowed since episode 3 & not gonna reach a climax this season... Yeah thats a set up sub plot for THAT long. I'm not gonna spoil the details but it blew my mind twice. 1st time once I saw the reveal of it (which again a long while to go) 2nd re-watching with you realizing just how early on Gil's true alignment was... set up

Personally I love the handling of gore in this show. Generally there's point to it. Hammering in that Ban is immortal or showing how ruthless a person is at the moment & it works

It kinda looked like Meliodas went berserk to burst out of that gem thing. I'm not sure if Elisabeth's screams had anything to do with it... I mean It might have, but it could be just the despair of beig trapped there & knowing Elisabeth is defenseless outside needing his help... Still no idea which of the 2 it actually was. However I think that type of mystery is a good thing
