So this is when I'm currently watching the reaction of szn 2 episode 8, but if nobody told u (which I doubt) than if u go back to that episode u will notice that Ramiris is F-ing big and Guy is with Millim at the same time (showing that Ramiris is likely POWERFUL when older and Guy had been around for MUCH longer than Millim!)

And she actually had Carrion, Clayman and Fray fooled because they did not have the skill necessary to see that she had more power than her proxy like Rimuru could. Naming tends to follow patterns such as goblins having Gob in their names or the Ogre/Oni having Japanese names, ultimate abilities have angel names. Unamed primordials have their colors in French. And named primordials => I won't say since it's probably considered a spoiler but you can guess from Diablo

As some already said, Guy is pronounced that way in French. Actually the name of the primordial demons seem to be their color in French: Noir means black (Diablo) and Rouge means red (Guy). Not sure if this is just the author's whim or if it has some kind of meaning... Maybe that the frenchs are demons??

I would really recommend still checking out Slime Diaries, since you really seemed to enjoy not just the action but also the slice of life, comedy and nation building stuff in slime and Slime Diaries is basically 12 episodes full of that and ads a lot of world and character building, partly stuff that was long when the novel was adapted into the anime. The movie isn't really canon, but it doesn't really interfere with canon either. I was initially skeptical when I heard they were making an anime original movie, especially since I thought simply adapting the next Light Novel volume, volume 7, as a movie would work pretty well. Nevertheless for an anime original addition it's quite good, it adds some character and world building that does fit well with the characters and the world and it doesn't really disturb the canon. Afaik the movie was in production when the last volumes of the Light Novels were being written so there was no way to actually make it canon after the fact but the manga has basically acknowledged the movie. And if they want the material from Vol.7 of the light novel actually offers the perfect opportunity to insert cameos of the movie characters into the anime series without any problems.

Yeah absolutely, that's the exact reason I don't think it's a bad change. I think the anime did a good job making the change fit in smoothly, and while I prefer the novelizations approach I still love the anime and completely understand why they did it

Well in this case that's kind of a matter of the medium. Skirting around revealing him while adapting the scenes he is in would be extra trouble, especially masking his voice without there being any in universe reason for him to speak with a different sounding voice. In the novel all you have to do is not saying his name/position.

Another interesting thing is in the Light Novel there is no scene revealing Yuuki (The Guildmaster) as being the person working with Clayman like there is in the anime, so it's not actually confirmed until much later in the series, whereas anime watchers already know. Honestly, I much prefer the books more mysterious route, but it's not a bad change either.

just so you know Neel, when Guy mentioned Rimuru used thought acceleration on Clayman that means that for every single hit he took from Rimuru his perception of the beatdown was increased by 1,000,000 times normal (for perspective, one second would be equal to approximately 277 hours or 11.5 days).. (Same with being devoured)

Fun fact: when Rimuru was punching clay man he was using thought acceleration. Thought acceleration expands the window of time that the target feels something. Meaning that in those few seconds of punches Rimuru gives Clayman, he is actually accelerating Clayman's thoughts, giving Clayman months of agony and pain in those few seconds
