Love seeing the episode where people fangirl over Diablo lol. AND Veldora coming back. Pretty packed ep that is soo great. I know Rimuru has some super OP skills but Raphael is definitely the most OP.

For example, contracts, which they obey to the letter. The upper level demons, I would be very afraid if they use their Skills, but I would call them calculating or Machiavellian, rather than outright evil. Mostly. Rimuru needs someone intelligent, who can think on his feet, and is adept politically. Demons fit that description very well. Milim has a type of power than no one else in this world has or understands. The bright sun-like power is one of the strongest powers most others could use (if strong enough), based on nuclear power (although radiation is not mentioned).

2023-05-03 17:11:14 +0000 UTCMost angels' names are from the Judeo-Christian traditions, and the most well-known of their names all end in -el. Examples are Gabriel, Michael, Uriel. There are some that don't, like Sandalphon and Metatron.

2023-05-03 16:31:45 +0000 UTCI would say that's definitely a large part of it, but what I think is that Diablo has always been interested in learning things about the world, i.e., he has his own goals. I think Diablo believes Rimuru will lead him, as he says in one episode, to the "truth of this world". He thinks that based on the fact that the Mask had fallen into Rimuru's hands. The Mask has some kind of time effect, besides its power-controlling properties. I'm guessing this relates somehow to Diablo's goals. The following are some not-very-big spoilers, but the anime never really touches upon them, but they are paradoxically essential to know if you want to really understand the story, so I think it's better to know. He also sees Rimuru's potential as an individual, which is a bigger theme in the light novel than in the anime or manga. And, at another not-so-clear level, the overall story is partly about what kind of society can make people happy? Diablo takes an interest in humans and thinks Rimuru's approach is the right one. (Who knows if that's true or not?)

2023-05-03 16:26:38 +0000 UTCYo brother, regarding Raphael, it’s long story short an archangel whoms main field is recovery. Interestingly enough multiple religions refers to Raphael and if I am not mistaken even Islam mentions Raphael as Israfil (might have spelt it wrong) ;) So Raphael being an all knowing entity is made up for dramatic effect in my humble opinion. Closest match would probably be an archangel called Agiel also known as Zazel qaccording to google :)

2023-05-01 20:33:12 +0000 UTCI haven't read the manga, so can only go on what what I've seen in the anime, but I got that impression from Kuro. He, being a primordial, is beyond old. And with so much power that there would be very little challenge in anything anymore. But with Rimuru, not only is he a new Demon Lord, but he started as a slime and not only has become powerful (which I imaging that power itself wouldn't be much of a novelty), he is, probably, one of the very few, if only, Demon Lord who became one out of love and loyalty to his people. He gained power, not for power, but to be able to save people he loved. Plus, he is making drastic changes to the whole world and upsetting the power balance of, pretty much, every sphere. Humans, monsters, Demon Lords, and nations. So this much be rare entertainment to an immortal who is from the beginning of time. If you can let me know how close I am, without massive spoilers for the mange, which I REALLY want to read soon, I'd appreciate it.

2023-05-01 05:22:37 +0000 UTCYeah that's what I remember too, if anything you could say they are very loyal to their own interests and desires and Kuro/Diabolo's desire happens include serving Rimuru for whatever reason,

2023-04-25 13:26:08 +0000 UTCI thought Kuro's line were eccentric and only do what they find amusing. Not particularly loyal. Luckily he finds Rimuru interesting.

2023-04-24 04:08:52 +0000 UTCKuro is Japanese for Black, it is not really a name, more of a designation. All of the Primordial Demons are generally just known by their color. Kuro and his line of demons are pretty subservient, loyal to a fault and will gladly give their life if ask.

2023-04-24 00:06:04 +0000 UTCIn the manga kuro (black in japanese) fought for the summoning spot with other demons. Since multiple demons wanted to respond to the summoning. Frey propably comes from norse mythology freyja. Freyja, (Old Norse: “Lady”), most renowned of the Norse goddesses, who was the sister and female counterpart of Freyr and was in charge of love, fertility, battle, and death. Her father was Njörd, the sea god. Pigs were sacred to her, and she rode a boar with golden bristles. You propably know loki an thor from norse mythology. Raphael, in the Bible, one of the archangels, , rulers, or princes of angels in the hierarchy of angels. he came to be regarded as the helper of the church’s armies against the heathen and against the attacks of the Devil. He holds the secret of the mighty “word” by the utterance of which God created heaven and earth. One of the most powerfull angels. Beelzebub is a figure in mythology and religion, primarily associated with demonology and the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). Beelzebub is often described as a high-ranking demon, one of the seven deadly demons or seven princes of Hell , representing gluttony and envy. The name Beelzebub is associated with the Canaanite god Baal, and his name has evolved over time to become another name for Satan in Christian theological sources.
