I agree with most of what you but I want to say that there are few or no Slime proper episodes that could ever compete with the degree of slice-of-life-y-ness of just about every episode of Slime Diaries.

2023-04-08 20:16:04 +0000 UTCEven if you go straight to Season 2, considering you seem to be enjoying the parts of slime that aren't just battles, you should definitely also watch Slime Diaries. I honestly don't understand this anti "slice of life" attitude when it comes to Slime. Those slice of life nation building things are 50% of Slime, even in Seasons 2 half of it is slice of life, politics and nation building, because that's simply a major part of Slime, Slime Diaries simply expands on that and it does so very well, adding depth and screentime to a lot of characters, adding worldbuilding and is simply all around a nice show if you like Slime. And it does all that while being very much in line with the Light Novel Canon.
