beautiful, heartbreaking.
Laura's story is so hard to remember and worse to see
Don't forget the name Phillip Jeffries mentions, as well as the monkey at the end... "Judy."

I don't know exactly why or how, but this movie gets more intense and meaningly each time I watch it!

Moira Kelly is also my ideal actor for the Donna role. Emotionally it just was more believable when Moira was being Donna and I wonder if Lara Flynn Boyle's acting was a bit distracted in the tv series with her apparent on set jealousy of Kyle and Sherilyn in a number of scenes together. Lara seemed to settle down more in her acting when Kyle and Sherilyn Fenn were no longer seen together, I seemed to find Lara Flynn Boyle more believable as Donna role around the time she was doing the meals on wheels visit to the old lady and grandson and then Harry. Before then I found her acting seemed a bit over the top in the first season and a bit. Moira was really the only Donna in the scenes with Laura before she died and Lara was more or less only seen with Laura's cousin Maddy, after Laura's death. I believe in real time when Fire Walk With Me was being filmed Lara Flynn Boyle was doing a movie I think called Red Rock West and Sherrlyn Fenn was doing the movie of Mice and Men.

The recast of Donna for FWWM has always seemed "right" to me. Moira Kelley seemed to be able to portray a younger, more innocent Donna (the club scene notwithstanding), whereas Lara Flynn Boyle in both S1 and S2 was more mature in her actions and interests. It's a casting that's more appropriate given we're in that week before Laura is found "wrapped in plastic" and the innocence of Twin Peaks is totally lost.

Catching up on your reactions (hate missing the conversation), but one thing you'll REALLY want to do now (and I don't think anybody has mentioned it yet), is listen to "The Voice of Love" from Julee Cruise's album of the same name. It's the exact same piece that plays at the end when Laura's angel finally comes back with Cooper except Julee sings on top of it with lyrics written by Lynch. Here's a link if you just want to listen on youtube:

Teresa Banks is played by Pamela Gidley. Growing up in the 90s I considered her an absolute bombshell. Unfortunately, she disappeared from acting and then died at the age of 52, cause never released. She's in a strange movie called The Crew where Ray Wise and Grace Zabriskie cameo as her husband's parents.
Knowing all the drama she caused on set, I didn't miss Lara Flynn Boyle. Moira Kelly was a fine replacement. And in the same year she did her most famous role, The Cutting Edge. Cheesy soap operas have a habit of recasting characters too, so it fits.
Love the scene of Mike yelling at Leland/Bob for stealing his garmonbozia while Laura freaks out. Maybe my favorite of the film.

Watched the film again myself last night. "Who's the toe head?" might be my favourite line in the whole thing.
Also, I love Moira Kelly as Donna, think her portrayal of the character is infinitely better than LFB.
