The criteria I'm going to use for judging each movie are:
Cultural Impact and Legacy - how iconic is it in the horror community and for reference through filmmakers
Boundaries Pushed - in the filmmaking, story, and characters did this film push the boundaries
Story - how strong is the story and did it stick the landing?
Fear, Dread, Terror
Performance of actors
at the end of the bracket I will go through results while giving my rating out of 5 in each category so we can see why I agree or disagree with the voting!
