This was filler but it wasn't a dream. Somehow Krillin fended off Cell, and saved the family, and eventually Piccolo and Tien showed up to save Krillin but Cell escaped before they made it there.

Man I didn't know about all the horror movies mentioned when I first saw this as a kid, but that news anchor at the beginning making ALL those movie references; that was so fucking creative and well done. Hats off to TFS for that one
