What's coming in Update 4? (+ patch info)

I'm deploying a small patch tomorrow addressing a few bugs, increasing shard gain, lowering exp requirement, and minor gameplay changes. Runes will also be removed, in order to remove management on individual card upgrades with faster pacing, and not requiring you to gather them in the maze. You'll be able to upgrade all cards at once in the traits menu. Saves will be fine, but runs in progress will be aborted automatically.
I tried a few things for improving deck management, but I couldn't find a definitive system that would work better than the current one. Things may still change in the future, but I want to focus on new content for the next update. I also tested Pearl more but didn't find her to be underpowered, apart from some upgrades granting too much replicate which I intend to address. She may be tricky to pilot, and I may change a few things about how she operates if more people ask for it, but I'm gonna give it more time.

But let's talk about what's coming after that, for Update 4.
Gameplay got an overhaul, which allows me to now focus on more content. Here are the priorities:
Growth stages
It's been a while since the last growth stage in Update 1. It's time to let the girls grow even bigger! This includes story elements, bosses, cards, upgrades, all that stuff. (probably going to level 10)
But it also requires you to be facing a new challenge, rewarding more exp. This will be done by powering up the maze, with stronger encounters. A new gameplay mechanic unlocked at that point could also bring something fresh to the gameplay loop.
Sex and story
Now, it's time for more sexy in my sexy game. I basically want to add social interactions outside of the maze. Being able to discuss with characters, flex your growth, have sex, things like that, alongside more interactions using the mirror.
Sexier gameplay
Social interactions are great and all, but what about during runs? There are a few ways I want to slowly integrate sexy elements directly in the maze. Having your character talk and interact based on what is happening, maybe with a few animations. More graphical elements for pearl milk, ruby cumming etc. NPCs directly fighting for size as well, with them being able to grow and shrink (potentially permanently between runs), and behave accordingly. Maybe being able to flirt, provoke or share your exp with NPCs as well.

Anyway, here's the plan. Now, it might be a lot at once, and I will probably not be able to integrate all that at once if I want to have a reasonable timeline for next update (I swear I'm not making you wait as long as for Update 3). So, I'm just gonna ask for what is your top 1 priority at the moment. Feel free to give more info in the comments.

Same thing here. I feel I've been cheated out of many long hours of gameplay. I couldn't agree more with your assessment concerning deck size.

2025-05-11 16:31:02 +0000 UTCI lost a lot of power on my Pearl due to this updates as i had quite some runes invested in her and now most of her cards are downgraded compared to what they were. And what is this thing with entropy (it's effect isn't even clarified)? Forcing people to add cards to the deck they don't need is not really something you'd like to see in a Slay the Spire kind of game. Playing with a small deck is a very good tactic, especially if you rely on top decking a lot like Pearl and to a certain extent Amber. Also please ad some gold gain on the skip card option so you essentially trade the local pick up for some more buy power in the shop. It's so nasty if you don't get good cards in battle rewards and see good cards on the shop after and can't buy them because some cards costs are insane. There should be atleast some reward (especially for boss battles) if you only get options offered that don't fit the deck you are playing.

2025-05-10 21:40:30 +0000 UTCYour patch breaks the galleries! I can see from a few cards the max level designs now, but i don't have any character which reached the max level yet. And cards I updated stay at the level 1 design. And a lot of images aren't loading anyway, I see just a frame from the images.
