Progression system rework

Hey, I know I said I would post achievements in a post-update patch, but... I was thinking about the next update.

I might completely rework the progression system, in order to make the game feel less repetitive, to add more variety, and so you can bring some stuff from your runs out of your run, maybe interact with more characters too. I would have to change how achievements work then. So, I would rather not spend time now to finish them for compatibility with Update 2 and instead spend more time on that new progression system, and I would directly implement them inside of that new system.

Hopefully that's fine with you. I've got amazing feedback and support and I am impatient to make the game even better soon!

I'm not giving a lot of info about the new progression system yet, but I'll let you know when progress is made!

I would love permanent upgrades or some other kind of meta-progression, thats my favorite part of roguelikes

Glad this is getting looked at. It did indeed feel pretty repetitive in a few bad ways. And anything you can do to have the story/characters mesh with, inform, or otherwise matter to gameplay in some fashion would be a big win in terms of design if it can be pulled off well.
