Its not a spoiler really. Its never fully explained but I think the giraffe kinda says it in episode 1, but it's like one line while there is a lot happening on screen

2023-10-11 23:07:23 +0000 UTCYes, I felt the magical girl vibes, though I knew they weren't magical girls. Hikari even kind of looks like Homura from Madoka Magica. I noticed the glowing gem stones, but didn't think anything of them. That explains why the stage changes around. Hope that wasn't a big spoiler. Maybe I missed the explanation.
