Thank you for your thoughtful response! I would agree with you except for the fact that InuYasha was already prepared to have a convo the next day and was preparing for Kagome to reject him. Now I know I shouldn’t say this because everyone responds to trauma differently, but my trauma has caused me to get up in people’s faces and confront them on sight. So if it was me, I would have woken InuYasha up and be like “what the F*CK is on your head” and hash it out right there. Maybe that’s not the best approach cuz I’m going to therapy for that. But I feel like if Kagome would have had a conversation, InuYasha would be willing to have it cuz he already wanted to do that anyway. Kagome has already admitted that she is a coward for just running away from InuYasha and making assumptions after they slept together the first time. I was glad she acknowledged that cuz I also had to learn the hard way that assumptions are for foolish people. Assumptions are never based on facts. To play devil advocate, let’s say that InuYasha’s demon hadn’t sexually assaulted her. Let’s say it was the person who stabbed her. So here is Kagome making the assumption that it was InuYasha, running into the rain, disoriented, and gets hit by a car….for an assumption? You almost died based on a thought that wasn’t based on any facts? Thats why I wished she would have confronted InuYasha then and there and gotten the facts before running out onto the rain. I am fine with her rejecting him, but get the full story first. Plus hold yourself accountable for how you operated in the relationship too. So yeah I was disappointed to see that she just ran away again, but tbh if that’s her trauma response, then that’s her trauma response. I understand that and hopefully that can be healed in the story.

it bothers me too that they're always running away from their problems instead of talking about it, but it's not something you can just casually say to someone and expect them to understand. i have a feeling Rui and Rin are gonna have to get involved and explain everything to them. cause Inuyasha doesn't understand everything about the mark either. He didn't know the mark would act the way it did when she got angry the first time Rin showed up.

I just wish that they would both just communicate and stop running away from each other 😩🙄😩 Yes, of course InuYasha should have beeeeen told Kagome everything that has gone down. I’m not giving him a pass at all. But I always find it hella annoying when the female lead just runs away from every problem that arises, especially in the shoujo genre. Kagome needs to have - conversation with InuYasha instead of just running away and making assumptions. I know, the Kagome lovers bout to @ me like crazy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But personally, im tired of her just running away. That’s my personal opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️ And yes, I know that “running away” is a famous Japanese trope in manga / anime… still doesn’t make it any less annoying.
