also!! i wanted to add; i started watching an anime called Frieren a few days ago and i'm obsessed and i can see it being your cup of tea bc you were talking about how you think the vibe of Haikyu fits what you tend to like more and, although Frieren is all about adventure and fantasy, it's not hard to understand the way some of the more complex fantasy/action/etc type animes may make you feel (and i love both complex and simple stories, personally lol) and the characters are so lovable and there's found family and i just love it. i just wanted to mention so you can keep it in mind for future animes, in case it catches your interest! :)

omg i haven’t watched your reaction yet but it makes me happy that you fell in love to the point where you binged all three eps when you planned on doing just one 😭🥹 edit: i just binged your reaction and i'm SO happy you're invested already!! i do think that's the power of Haikyu; from what i know, a lot of people who have seen this anime aren't into sports irl as well but something about how it's presented here, with introducing the characters you can't help but root for and just being able to see/meet different teams and their different dynamics makes it interesting enough to keep watching. also, on a side note, i'm actually glad you didn't hate Tsukki from his first appearance and, instead, was entertained with his type of character lol. i can understand if others may not like him in the beginning, but he's one of my favorite characters and i tend to like characters similar to him tbh. oh and because you said you're more drawn to slice of life, grounded type of stories, i'm glad Haikyu was able to be that anime for you bc i love so many different animes from different genres, but this type of style/format has such a comforting vibe to watch (not even just the sports aspect, but the slice of life feels as well). i think i've mentioned this before but, in other animes you've seen such as Attack on Titan or Demon Slayer, there are obvious villains (even if a lot of them can be complex or two-dimensional, giving them more depth) but, in Haikyu, everyone you meet within all the teams are simply just teenage volleyball players trying to have fun or win through the sport they're passionate about. that's simply it. so even the "asshole" or "cocky" players you meet, i don't view them as a villain, and it's one of the things i love about Haikyu. :') can't wait for more!!
