you were wondering how the girl born a year after gunwook can be 2 grades lower. it's because gunwook was born in january '05 (sometimes referred to as "fast" '05) so he is in the same grade as people born in '04! that's why he, gyuvin, and ricky are considered the same age. school years in korea run from march to february so basically if you're born before the end of the school year (or some time around then, i'm not exactly sure when the cutoff is), you're grouped with the previous year.
