I think this comes from Beomgyu being always loud and screaming that people tend to associate it as "he's dumb" when it's really just stupid for someone to think a person who is loud = dumb. It gets so tiring hearing people say Beomgyu isn't smart because, like you said, he knows a lot of random facts and he's shown moments to be intelligent too with certain things. Of course, Taehyun is the one with knowledge in the group, but to say Beomgyu is the opposite because he shouts a lot? It's stupid, ugh.
