Waifu Warz! Idea Poll [September 2023, Midnight]

The lead pinballed between a few different characters this time around- Bridget got an early lead at 5 votes, then Ada Wong jumped up to 12, before Midnight finally pulled ahead. Seeing these play out is probably one of the more fun parts of these polls. 🤔

But, Midnight is a character all about her sex appeal. Here's a few potential scenarios I had in mind that play into that...

1: Fire Fight: "Fire" as in "gunfire" and "gunfire" as in "Kaina 'Lady Nagant' Tsutsumi".

During the chaos of the Attack on Tartarus (a big prison-break where a bunch of villains are trying to escape, basically), Midnight happens to spot Lady Nagant in a self-fashioned sniper-den. Midnight attempts to engage in a sneak-attack, but Nagant shoots at her, hitting a nearby fire extinguisher and exploding it's contents all over Midnight. This turns out to have not been a miss, but an intentional shot. With the extinguisher-goo acting as a sealant, and no way for her gas to be released from beneath her suit, Midnight begins blowing up out of control. Cue sequence, eventual burst, and the final scene is a news report effectively saying "yeah she's ok tho".

Along the lines of Blue Moon- same "hero vs villain" setup, different dynamic between the characters (in that they don't directly speak to each other).

Characters: Midnight (hourglass -> boob/belly/butt inflation), Lady Nagant (major supporting), Unnamed News Anchor(s) (minor supporting)

2: NSFW on TV: Midnight's sex appeal is rivalled by very few in the series- Mt. Lady (errrm her name is "Yu Takeyama") being one of those few!

This one riffs directly on that one cold open scene where the whole "Midnight can't show too much skin" bit comes from. In the series, they proceed to argue about how Midnight's power is impressive for someone "her age" (while Mt. Lady is only 6 years younger herself, but I digress) before pulling away to reveal Minoru Mineta being like "tee hee women fighting :3c".

This audio would nix that pullaway and instead let the scene play out. The two quick get into a full-on catfight. Mt. Lady accidentally hits something she shouldn't on Midnight's suit, and her gasses begin to back up. She eventually fills up the entire (roughly small-office-sized) room and 💥blows💥 out the windows. The interview ends with her dazed and confused on the ground, and Mt. Lady admitting that things got out of hand.

Of note: while Mt. Lady likely wouldn't huge-ify in the middle of a newsroom (plus I did that gimmick already), she would absolutely be making verbal prods here-and-there about how Midnight has the "real gigantification quirk" and other stuff along those lines.

Whereas Fire Fight is based on the latter half of MHA with it's more serious tone, this would be based on the relatively-earlier Final Exams Arc.

3: Ten-Ton Jealousy: Midnight has a relatively slim physique, She's sexy not so much in a "wow! big tits and ass!" way, but more seductive. So... what happens if she's paired up with someone who's the complete opposite? Meet 10t, a character appearing exactly once in a volume-afterword. You know how Blue Moon also had a random scrimblo OC that I made up for the story? This would be like that, but 10t is "Technically" "Canon". I'm talking like "she doesn't even have a page on the wiki" levels of canonicity here.

Likely taking place prior to the events of the series (cough), this would see Midnight walking away from the scene of her latest successful rescue- one huff of her ambient Somnambulist fumes is enough to defuse any hostage situation.

Though, she soon spots 10t saving someone from a burning building with her own quirk... swinging her massively-heavy breasts around to knock down walls. She takes immediate contempt to this crude, distasteful display. Midnight seethes for a bit before setting on a solution: she'll just copy her. Confident that she can have size and grace, Midnight begins carrying out heroic deeds with a massive amount of somna-fumes stored inside her boobs. Maybe a little in her butt too, idk.

This goes well, up until she's faced with the same sort of burning-building scenario that 10t was. The intense heat causes Midnight's gasses to expand far more than she accounted for, and this eventually ends in yet another explosion. The story ends with 10t rescuing both of them, the reveal that she wasn't even aware of Midnight's boob-inflating shenanigans, and the two kissing & making up. Maybe a sensual kiss, maybe just a European kiss. Depends what mood I'm in.

Truth told, I've had a vague "Hey you should do a Midnight story :)" sitting in the back of my mind ever since she was in one of my other audios. Probably why I went into more detail here than usual...
