The Update™️ -- July 2023

Hey hey. This is a new thing I'm gonna try out- if you've been pledged for a while, you might recall when I'd post whatever little 1-2 minute snippet of audio I had edited on a given day. This was a nice way to give bleeding-edge updates, but... it also resulted in me spamming people's feeds. 😓

This is me trying that again, but in a format where I can actually kinda talk to you rather than plastering some inane "amogus if he real" meme comment in your face, lol.

Here is a rundown of where some of my current projects are at:

• Distraction Tactics (posted here) -- This is finished* and ready to go up on Saturday. I'll likely be including a quick alt-type edit that's a loop of ambient inflation/huffing/game sounds.
• The Serpent's Scheme (miia_wip2.mp3) -- This is the "poll winner" audio I alluded to earlier, and will likely go up after Distraction Tactics. Needs its alt edited up, though.
• Trumpet Concerto in B-flat (nonon_wip2.mp3) -- This has been finished* for looonger than I'm willing to admit, and is (if I remember right?) the last audio I edited in Vegas Pro. I still edit my comic dubs in Vegas, but you won't catch me dead editing audio in it ever again, lol.
• Flattening Comic (c_aly_wip1.mp3) -- Dub of this: [1] [2] [3]. Audio first-pass is done. Flattening is a little outside of my usual content, but I like how it's coming along so far. I wanna upload it as a little "tee-hee :^)" before I go full hog with like, a pooltoy TF audio or something.
• Big Trouble in the Little Chinese Buffet (millie_wip1.mp3) -- This one is... not "finished*", I would say. It needs polish. Notably, I need to add some more BGM. Problem is, Helluva Boss tends to use a lot of music with vocals. Not great in an audio setting where the characters already talk a lot. Vocally. Thankfully though, I found an online tool that separates music into stems (vocals/drums/instrumentals). I'll probably try a few tracks and see what fits best.

* whenever I say something is "finished", it generally means "it's completely edited and perfectly listenable, but also I might decide to adjust it slightly right before it gets publicly uploaded". Wordy, but hopefully that makes sense. :V

Lastly, some scripts that I'm in the process of finalizing/sending out:

• A Bloated Lich Inside This Odd Shop! [weight gain]
• Junko the Superheavyweight [weight gain]
• Fellows of Petty Rivalry [inflation + popping]
• Splatfest! Water vs Helium vs Air [popping]
• Touhou Barunparti ~ Glimmering Rubber Wonderland [popping]

That last one is a bit of a special personal project of mine- you'll notice that it's actually four stories smushed into one. Think along the lines of that Gravity Swell series I did some time back (which also had one-two-three four parts), but with more presentation and pre-planning behind it. The main three parts revolve around Reimu Hakurei trying to resolve a very peculiar incident where all of Gensokyo gets turned into humanoid balloon-women (adapted from a story Zumberge wrote), along with one extra part I wrote about Marisa's role in said incident. 

Granted: with four stories in the script, that also means four stories worth of voicing and editing. I'll give another update on this when I can, but it might be a while.

Since this is the inarguable Update™️, there's obviously going to be a lot more for me to say here. Figure I might do this every... month? Every two months? We'll see. Probably the former.
