2025-09-23 14:46:14 +0000 UTCWhen I heard Rae's story about the car accident I completely agreed with her and it was actually disheartening to see so many people saying she was wrong for it. Companies are ruthless now with any type of driving stuff and it's almost certainly an insta-firing even if it was an accident. It's so sad that is how it works and companies operate like people are replaceable. My fiancé had a job that required driving to customers and he accidentally parked one of his tires a little bit onto someone's lawn and damaged it. He paid for the lawn to be fixed out of his own money and they still fired him anyway. He had never been fired before and I watched his mental health deteriorate because he cared so much and it was truly and accident. He was incredibly embarrassed. And then when you are looking for a new job they always ask why you left your previous one and he didn't want to lie. He recovered and now has an even better job but I was worried for a bit that he was never going to be the same again and it broke my heart. I've also been on a public bus that was rear ended and it took SO long to get going again. They have so many protocols to go through and had to interview each person to make sure they weren't injured for liability. There are also so many jobs where if you're late x amount of times you are insta fired. Rae is completely valid for not wanting the driver to get fired and the people on the bus to be late!

I'm not a faze viewer unless they collab with certain ppl so I likely just missed their apology but pushing these guys to publicly address stuff like this more would probs have an even greater impact than private convos and them hopefully doing better in the future. Their audience already consists of enough incels, it's been a bad week of them bashing other communities for being "snowflakes" on twitter, unfortunately. It's been consistent throughout their careers that they make homophobic, racist, misogynistic "jokes". Lacy said on stream he voted for Trump because he wanted to make more money. I would have reported him to the cops as well, cause that might not have been the first time he's done something like that and is even more likely not gonna be the last time especially with rae just letting him go. The bus driver did something blatantly illegal and put many people in danger. He 100% should have been reported and fired for that. Also, for me it wouldn't be about the money or my car being damaged, it's about the principle of the guy doing something illegal and putting many people in danger.

"Nah its ok you spilt your drink on my expensive clothes, let me buy you another drink while I have my assistant bring me a change of equally expensive clothes." Its exactly the same thing Lud did when he got hit by that father and his kid while riding his vespa. He told them not to worry about it and let them go about their day because these guys CAN afford these situations. I work in manufacturing and we have had to fire people for not following safety procedures like lock out tag out. Those are in place so they don’t get themselves hurt or killed and it sucks they lose their job but it’s better than losing their life. To an extent that applies to the bus driver. If they can’t operate that vehicle safely for the good of them and other drivers maybe they shouldn’t be doing that job.

I get it, it’s potential exposure for hihi studio (though she really doesn’t need it in my opinion since she’s already very successful with large audiences). The bigger issue is that Kai has had too many incidents that came across as homophobic, and it’s hard not to think he might be one. Rae has a large community who adore her, so I can see why some of them might feel disappointed, maybe even sad, about why she associates with him.

Rae said there was construction in the area, I’m not saying wether what the bus driver did was or wasn’t safe, I wasn’t there, but I don’t think people should ASSUME that Rae should have reported him to prevent further accident/injury.
