BJD animal body with a custom head

Working on getting more of the Gshep bases back up soon, the full foaming TPU ones. Been having some issues with my foaming TPU which is why those have taken longer. Were you interested in those, if so respond below, I should have at least 2 to go by next week for the ones interested.

Lemur feet

Working on a customers feet paws I wanted to test out and print in TPU. Cartoony lemur feet with cut outs for where the claws will go. Early stages but I should be able to print this weekend ☺️

Toy in the works

Started working on a new plush design meant to be a giant. Slowly sculpting parts to see what I like and then turn into a pattern. Going to chip away at night on this until I’m happy with the overall shape.

Wuff head WIP

Working on this one for a customer and personal suit. Excited to try a bunch of new things on this one. Want to create both a 2D eyed and 3D eyed versions. Lots to test still but it’s coming along 😊 once it’s ready I’ll offer it as a base here.

Foaming TPU noses coming

Working on a few noses to print that I will offer here and on Etsy soon. These noses will be printed in foaming TPU, meant to be covered in fabric. They will be light/durable and have a bit of flex. Going to probably do 2 versions, one that is hollow and one that is not. Going to play with both designs and see which makes the most sense. If the hollow one works out I will offer an open nostril version as well. My goal is to provide these in a few sizes and styles over time.

Raccoons and Head Base Results

Currently working on a new raccoon base for a customer, but I’ve also made a slight modification to create a feminine version as well. I plan to have this ready for printing by next week, and once that’s done, I’ll begin offering printed versions here!

Revised but much happier with the look.

You can see them both side by side. A few adjustments to get it just right. The character is meant to be really toony. The art provided had very large eyes along with the iris and pupil. Decided it was a bit too big and sort killed the look of the head, made it feel sort of expressionless. So went back and re sized the iris and pupil so it had an overall better look and I am so much happier with it now. Fixed the muzzle and nose as well. Getting way closer to the final look now.

Aspen Bunny WIP

Initial work on Aspen bunny. Customer wants it to look very much like the art sent which is a bit different than my typical style which is fine by me. I love when people send us detailed art where I can see the style they want and work to create a very unique look for this base. Waiting for the customer to redline areas and continue the clean up work to get it ready to print. For now this is a WIP.

Our first Kickstarter project!

We’re thrilled to share that we’ll be launching our very first Kickstarter! While we have several projects in the works, crowdfunding will give us the opportunity to bring them all to life. We’re starting with our articulated vinyl figure line, set to debut this December—an exact launch date will be announced soon.

This campaign will let us offer a variety of colorways, as well as blank figures for you to customize. There’s still plenty of planning ahead, but we’re so excite...

Back from Megaplex

Just a quick note I am taking a break until next week then I will start posting again. Taking a bit of a much needed get away from anything work related. 😊

Say hello to Max our Panda German Shepherd. He will be available at our Megaplex booth. Will come as a partial (head, hand paws, tail, tag/collar/bandana) one size fits all & glasses friendly. Foam build, machine washable head, zipper tail to stuff and un stuff for washing. Upgradable to a full suit after the con 😊

Fox Action Figure

Our Fox action figure sample has arrived in time for Megaplex. This is just the resin version, but the final ones will be made out of vinyl. We will have these available for display at the con. Thinking of doing a sort of backerkit for these after the con :). Will post more info soon.

Dioramas

Found these cute dioramas that will work really well for the figures. It’s from a Japanese company and fits the figures really well. Made out of plastic and there are tons of designs. Definitely plan to get more and really put these to use. If you are curious about these you can find them on Amazon.

Going to start offering one free 3D printed base or eyes/teeth/nose etc per month. You will need to be in the $15 or up tier to participate. Will make a post and if you are interested just respond back. This way I can pick a random person from the ones who respond. TPU k9 kit 😊 preview

Working on getting an “up ear” version of the k9 head that has a swayed back ear version. Will be offering these as kits with eyes and teeth (tops of the ears are foaming TPU). Working on the teeth tonight to get them printed tomorrow. Will have one of these kits available to buy before MP end of the week. The rest will be for MP, and more will be posted here after the con.

Megaplex Preparations

So for the next month I am going to be posting things I will have available at Megaplex. I will be posting a few new things here first very limited in numbers as I am currently trying to have a larger stock of kits for the con itself. So all new tutorials that I am working on will be posted after MP as I need to focus on the current work flow. With CHOMP now done, which was a huge success I need to focus on our giant triple booth. We will have a lot of new plush to show this year plus clothin...

Finger slicker brush

A good brush to have if you want to brush out seams is a finger brush. Was talking to my friend who had not heard of it so I wanted to share if you had not either. I was buying them from crscrafts before but they have yet to re stock so they can be bought on Etsy. I highly recommend these for tiny seams, it's just good to have.

Bear head base WIP

Started working in this one a while back but worked more on it tonight. Cleaned up enough I can start doing finish work to get it ready to print as a kit soon. Will work on teeth and eyes for it as well. As always everyone here will get first dibs on the base. This will be a foam TPU base :).
