I hope that next year QT is able to put more into marketing for it and do a whole 15 or 30 second ad for it like they do for the Grammys and other big award shows! And just have it on twitch ads for like two weeks before the awards

The most likely failure point for your joke shouldn't result in you (the joke maker) looking like an asshole, but that's what happened to the Faze boys.

You can't on one hand want people to take the awards seriously and talk how thousands of other streamers want to be in those chairs. But then be shocked they get backlash when they take a shot at the awards even if it was a joke. Those streamers who want to be there have fans who want to see them there.

And I don't even watch Faze. Just all the interactions QTs had over the past year with them. The Grace drama also sucks. I think she should have just stuck with her one moment of dig and left it at that. She shouldn't have done it at all, but she did. Then went after them on Twitter. The faze guys didn't say anything or do anything at the event because of their respect for QT. That was so plain to see. Sucks she dug her own grave on that one. I feel for grace. :(

I don't follow Faze clan because I just didn't like the whole douchebag vibe they had back in the day so I didn't know they paraded the trophies and genuinely loved them. Of course I'd think they were disrespectful. It didn't matter if it's not an Oscar, the Peepo represents the awards, It felt like they were pissing on the whole show. I'm glad it's all a ruse and congrats to all the winners!

Say OTV has 1 nominee but can bring 8-10 people if they buy out their tables to support the show for $5-10k. This venue maybe seemed too small for that but maybe in a bigger room.
