Audio listener lol. Just got married last year and we completely just got rid of the garter toss - we did a cat toss that whoever caught it was supposed to make a donation or adopt a pet. Also we did a child free wedding and had ZERO regrets. I wanted everyone to have a good time and not spend half of it babysitting. We also did our wedding out of town which helped weed out people. You have to focus on what you want and not what others want - if you don’t like them don’t invite them!!

2024-08-16 18:33:43 +0000 UTCMe and my wife hate being the center of attention, in an ideal world we probably would have just gotten married at the courthouse, but societal pressures and all that. So we had just our very immediate family attend the ceremony itself (parents and grandparents, brothers) and then held a reception after where everyone was invited. I don't care for children but I didn't go childfree because the event wasn't really for us anyway, it was for everyone else. If you were going all out and wanted your "special day" childfree totally makes sense.
