Cassandra was the daughter of the king Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy, the myth changes over time but the most common story is that she was a priestess of Apollo who was the god of among other things, prophecy. Greek gods are tricky and while Cassandra was given the gift of prophecy and being able to see the future she was in turn cursed with never being believed. So while the greeks were attacking Troy for 10 years, she tried to warn her family at every turn. Don't let the wooden horse into the city! Alas she as never believed and city of Troy fell. Also as a swiftie, I love Taylors use of the myth in this song, it made me so happy! 'So they set my lifes in flames I regret to say, do you believe me now' Is also refereing to when Troy was burned down after they lost the war. I could disect the entire song but I'll leave it at that! Thank you for coming to my ted talk

She literally says “I changed your name and ANY defining clues…only us 2 will know it’s about you”. Neither of those are true whatsoever if the song is actually about Kim. I’d like to think it’s about Kim but it’s hard to imagine she’d say those if they’re so obviously untrue.

People with alzheimers were discovered to have more of a specific bacteria in their brain compared to normal people 17 years ago, so a 2022 study decided to study this correlation in mice and saw a connection and said 'this might be scary for humans.' the bacteria itself can cause respirtory diseases so its usually just spread from coughing or sneezing and isn't really directly related to your fingers.

QT got her from a friend so there weren’t any requirements in terms of adopting her.

2024-04-25 02:21:38 +0000 UTCYeah, some parts were very pitchy. I'm guessing it's a byproduct of whatever audio production Space uses and the Discord call audio codec all interacting. You pass audio through stuff enough times and it can end up wonky, but we probably don't notice it in normal conversation between QT and Maya. Also I could swear the audio is like 0.5 seconds off the video in this particular ep and it isn't normally. Just enough to look weird, but maybe it's something on my end.

A famous herpetologist and the curator of the Herpetology Dept in the California Academy of Sciences (one of the largest Natural History museums in the world). He actually died on 9/11, was bitten by a Suzhen's Krait in an isolated jungle of Myanmar. And due to 9/11, communication to the Myanmar embassy was limited and they weren't able to get medical supplies/helicopter out in time. His death was pretty significant as he only had some workers and his grad students with him at the time. He was able to tell them exactly the timeline of what would happen to him and what they needed to do to keep him alive for as long as possible. But it wasnt enough, and he was just crazy unlucky. Usually used as a cautionary tale for field work, that no matter how experienced you are, you never know what can happen.
