Even the out of state people are ready to drop everything to go to a QT event. If you do have the means & bandwidth, you should absolutely do this again next year! You'll always have a guest list and streamers will always want to come. Not even just for exposure but because they actually enjoy & truly have a great time at them! This was a great time from a viewer perspective as well :)

It works on normies because like he says the whole time, it only works if you WANT to be hypnotized, and normies paying to go to a hypnotist show all want that. Then there is the crowd mentality of not wanting to let anyone down so each person assumes they're the only one it isn't working on and just goes along with what they're told to fit in. There's also the fact he incorporates telling people that if it works on them they are so smart and accepting of the hypnotism and it means they are capable of going into that deep state and that they'll be the star of the show.

Just imagine a split screen and the setup is like it is this episode, please invest in your remote setups ASAP. The desktop stream setup is really bad for a podcast and it seems like no effort is put into it from a visual standpoint

The Jenna & Julien podcast kind of felt the same to me, and they really managed to find the right format for them. Maybe their pods could offer some inspiration! It's not a case of copy-paste of course, but as and underlying structure I can imagine it could be helpful. Loved the gala and this debrief! :)

2023-10-04 09:21:48 +0000 UTCi enjoy the podcast name. its like a hilarious bit of inconsequential controversy lol but if its holding you back, is it possible to do a dual/multi podcast release and see what gets better traction? i mean same exact episode but different names. i also like the format as is. the only partial expectation is that someone is going to let out some steam about whatever but otherwise its just chill vibes. other than that, is it possible to do mini podcast episodes with various formats to like A-B test or something. idk, you both are awesome together, so im in for whatever you both decide.

But maybe they turned the womens restroom into the all gender bathroom because non binary people might feel more comfortable or safer with women than men. It’s weird if there is an all gender and men’s room for the men to use the all gender option, mostly because the women’s restroom normally has crowding issues lol.

For “shows” to watch after the date auction, you could do a talent show, karaoke, a dance lesson, magic. Animal related charities are amazing and absolutely allow for so much creativity while still giving a solid framework to start with, though If you eventually want to branch out into other charities you could do video game related ones like able gamers and have people cosplay or “Disney bound” with inspired outfits. Same for art restoration or education related ones. If you do a child hunger related one you could have people dress themed to their favorite fruits or vegetables and have each person bring a family recipe, it’s less a show and tell and more a donated recipe book which people could then order copies of (granted logistics and costs might be too much) This comment is gigantic but I enjoy every event QT makes and my favorite Wine About It episodes are the “post event” ones because the logistics and retrospectives are so interesting. Thanks again for a great episode!

Please do something like this again, maybe next time have it aquatic themed or a different region of endangered animals. Maybe have the gala be a masquerade so people can have masks or face paint to look like the animal!! Or whatever! Just thank you for this event qt and maya and I hope you all do this again to save some more animals and for some fun!

Everyone looked like they had so much fun (outside of a couple of the people having to suffer being yanked about by the charlatan). The outfits were amazing with a lot of people putting in a lot of effort and the gifts for the auction were super cool and unique. Will was of course perfect as the auctioneer and I agree that you would probably have an easier time getting people to put themselves forward for the auction next time! Which also would be great for some of the smaller streamers that didn't feel they could splash out as much cash as the Hasan/Ludwig/Rae etc. I would love to see you run one of these every year if you can, it's truly an amazing thing to do and was so much fun. My god I'd love to see an Ocean themed Gala it would look so amazin (time for Peach to don the Octopus prosthetics or something lmao).

As a viewer the gala was one of the more fun and enjoyable events I’ve watched, the hypnotist was def annoying but funny once it got going. You guys did an amazing job!

That would incorporate streamers and is kinda similar to the hypnotist (which is kinda improv also) in the ways that made that segment entertaining (streamers doing crazy shit). Just an idea. As a side note, you both looked incredible and the entire event was so fun to watch!!
