You told me to tell you about my problem, so I have one. I was dating my now ex, and we had been together for maybe like 3 months at this point. I was young and naive, and he was my first serious relationship. I thought we had a good trust thing going, to the point where he would let me play games on his phone. you know, trusting shit. Until one day he got a snap on his phone from a silly username, and I told him "hey so-and-so sent you a text, do you want me to reply?" And for the first time ever he ran over and snatched the phone out of my hands and acted sooooo shady. Red flags going off in my head, MANY red flags. So I did the logical thing... I took his phone and investigated when he was busy playing LoL. The username was his ex girlfriend. I only know this because he asked her if she would ever get back together with him in those texts... while he was dating me. And they had met up at cute parks and shit together several times while he was with me. ANYWAYS that's not even the main thing... one of the other people he was texting was his ex fuck buddy. And they talked about shit like using sex toys and stuff and opinions on it... and I thought that already was kinda crossing the line, but even more so because they were romantically involved before. SO, I confront him, he apologizes. I tell him I would prefer him to not hang out with his ex fuck buddy anymore. He agrees. Couple weeks later, I see her still inviting him out, he is still meeting with her. He changes his gym to her gym... I tell him this is not okay. He gets mad at me and tells me I can't tell him who he can and cannot hang out with. I tell him it's either me or her. He chooses me. A month later, I pick him up from the emergency room from a minor scare. He gets a phone call from her begging him to hang out. He looks at me shifty eyed wondering if I can hear her (i can hear her) and he kinda angrily said "I'm with MY GIRLFRIEND right now" and she freaks out and starts apologizing and promptly hangs up... so I now find out he's still seeing her. Am I crazy for being super suspicious about these two?!?! Anyways, they stopped hanging out eventualyly. I foolishly dated him for 4 more years. We broke up, yay! The end!

here is some quick tea bc why not. I had a partner that we would do some spicy stuff together. And we had the habit of me going down on her, but she had a lot of issues with UTIs and Vaginosis. we usually would stop doing stuff or do specific stuff to not make things worse for her and so I don't get mouth vaginosis (its a thing). but one time we didn't see each other for a while and we got right to business and after she arrived we talked for a bit and she said "did I taste different?" I was like "no? why?" her response.... "oh I think I have vaginosis because I have had bad discharge and smelled weird." Now I luckily did not get mouth vaginosis but man I was fucked up mentally for like a week!

Great episode! story one-Maya was 100% justified, dude was being creepy and should've just left. Maya's story 2- I am assuming the guy went away to college so it was a LDR? especially at that age i think things can be hard and insecurities can happen. That said, Maya mentioned she told him he wasn't comfortable with these actions and he kept doing them so he's in the wrong. I do agree with QT in that it depends on the person and situation, in regards to bringing treats or something. I've done things for female friends like grabbing them a treat they like or something, without ulterior motives. Now, what he was doing sounds like going out on dates or setting up dates. Women's intuition-I think we all have that gut feeling when things aren't right. Always trust it because it's usually right. A couple different Ex's I had a bad feeling, once i was being cheated on and another my GF didn't realize the guys were trying to get with her? anyways, trust your gut. QT's abuse boyfriend- 100% it was a toxic relationship. Clearly he knew how to manipulate you. That said, it is partially true that some people just do not have the capacity to deal with heavy things. Even if you've dated years, seeing someone through severe grief and/or depression is hard. Obviously if they're important to you and you love them then you'll do what you can to be there for them but I think it just showed he didn't truly love QT because you don't just take people at their best, you also help them at their worst. At some point though, people can be tired of trying to help when the person can't or won't help themselves. I definitely don't think this is the case and he was just an asshole. I would hope QT has grown so much that she would never stay with anyone that she had to put up a fake persona for 24/7 to please them. Lastly Maya's Caleb?(spelling) story- I think that snapchat was just a sign that you clearly wanted to be exclusive and this started the conversation. I think assuming things is one of the biggest issues in relationships, never hurts to clarify. sorry for the long post, IDK why i love drama or giving advice

The only thing crazy is that you've been through so many wild experiences in your relationships. It's insane the lengths QT went to make that bf feel comfortable when it really should have been the other way around considering her mother's passing. It's also crazy to hear that someone thinks 3 months enough time to greave for a mother. My mum lost her mother (my grandma) at 72 from Cancer around 15 years ago and she still has plenty of moments where she'll need support because my sister or I might reach milestones that she knows her mother would have given anything to celebrate with us. Like the fact that they were dating for 2 to 3 years makes me feel like he should've put up with it... but like she said some people just have emotional limits... but it's not QT's fault at all for being depressed after her own mother died. It just makes me so sad that you had to be a fake person for so long after that to protect his feelings when he should've been supporting you. It's all so complicated and unfair. Silver lining is that it just makes me more happy to hear you have a healthy relationship now.
