Surprised to see that you already have stuff up before the "first return episode" was due. Way to go you two! You both are such amazing people and hard workers, and deserve to relax when you can. I know it's hard right now with things just finally calming down, but glad you have each other to confide in. You made the right call QT. Its hard being someone who wants to help everyone, but I'm proud you chose YOUR mental health and happiness first.

2023-03-14 23:37:44 +0000 UTCNot to be too parasocial, but I had to cut ties with a close friend toward the end of highschool and it was so hard to do. I thought about it for well over a year, I even tried talking with her mom to get her help but nothing came of it. Ultimately you have to put yourself first, it’s for the better, even when your heart still wants to help that person that’s causing you harm. It’s even harder when other people are putting pressure on you to continue being a support person/ therapist for said person. I don’t think it was “for the better” that my friend ended up slowly loosing all friends and feeling isolated for a long period, but since then they’ve gotten help in all the areas that they needed it and they’re actually living life again. I’m no longer a part of their life but it feels like properly closed chapter in my life knowing that she also learned how to put herself first.

2023-03-13 19:45:38 +0000 UTCFor an after party, I think renting out a club, bar, or beer garden for a night might be the best option as 1: they already deal with noise later into the night. 2. you can rent/bring in seating and furniture into a club (like people do for weddings or set dressing). Also, you might be able to get permitting to park a food truck in front of a club/bar by working with the city. If a venue has food options nearby you can work with them ahead of time to be staffed enough for the event as well, or ask if they will do catering. Also some places do catering themselves. I would think, depending on the venue, it will cost similarly to what you paid for that house. It's less intimate but depending on the place, easier for security to do their jobs as well. Renting out a beer garden that has indoor/outdoor space and bringing in some sofas and some free standing curtain racks to create zones is totally doable. This site shows some of the minimum costs for places in LA to get an idea. Anywhere you can set up a wedding, you can set up a party. https://www.partyslate.com/find-venues/near/los-angeles-ca-usa

As a viewer it all seemed to run very smoothly and even the technical difficulties weren't really bad. To me, when something goes wrong that's part of the charm of doing things live (and on Twitch). What little "scuffdness" there was -- it was still entertainment and that is a large part of why I watch so much Twitch and very little traditional media. And everyone was soooo pretty and put together! I wanted like 2 more hours of red carpet to show off all the fits. Everyone seemed so happy and excited to be there. Really 10/10 and I'm looking forward to next year! <3 RE: Minx, I've dealt personally with my own drug addiction and mental health issues, and you are being very kind. If I was in your shoes, I would not be so kind, and I've BEEN that person who fucks up a party and ruins events.

The whole time he spoke of this amazing weekend where he met so many awesome creators and how much fun it's been. "Jerma is real. like a real guy." "Tubbo is the nicest person. Super nice." Regardless of your frustrations - which ARE real - over the event, it was nothing but a success. Both you ladies killed it, and everyone involved in production killed it. Hopefully the event was financially feasible for the show to be so big, because there are so many grateful stories from both Streamer Awards where a creator was able to meet their colleagues, fan out, and talk about the craft. It would be a shame for that camaraderie to be lost. Thank you for doing this event for them. Thank you for doing this event for us parasocial viewers.

Sorry that some things did not go to plan, it's so sad hearing about all that hard work you put in for the afterparty for it to get cut short. But you still have the knowledge that you did your all to give everyone an amazing experience, and that's all you can do at the end of the day. I hope the best for her but she will only learn by being blackballed until she learns better ways to cope :( <3

I agree with QT on the “no multiple wins in a row” thoughts, and I hope (probably in vain) it will prevent the worst people from saying it’s a circle jerk, by bringing in more unique streamer nominees in a larger rotation. I really connected with the later half of the ep, I have a family member that struggles with addiction and BPD. Going to family events is a reminder of explanation and not excuses. You cannot help them until they decide to help themselves, you can only be aware of why they are the way they are and protect yourself from the harm caused by it in a way that works for you. I hope that you all find a balance that keeps everyone safe and happy.
